I have one friend I play MHWorld with who has a lot more time on his hands to play World, whereas I either have work or play games with Bec while she's awake and leave World to later in the evening.
I've been playing since gen 3, my first game was Tri, I was shite at it and couldn't figure out how to capture the monsters. I didn't learn properly til 3U and got the hang of everything.
World is my friend's first Monster Hunter game. He reckons he knows more than me about the series and tries to belittle my knowledge whenever he believes he's right.
I had the Radobaan palico set in use for a little while (so my cat was putting monsters to sleep) and my mate reckons that he can capture them before they're showing signs of weakening. Not only that but apparently after the monster is asleep, put into a trap so it's not asleep anymore, I'm not allowed to hit it otherwise the capture won't work... we were 5-10 minutes into hunting a Legiana. The quest ended up taking about a good half hour anyway. The Legiana was nowhere near limping. And he blamed me for not capturing it.
That being said, I was laughing about it all because he gets so angry when things don't go his way. Not that he was gonna get the cap at that point anyway.
