Personal Learning Network (PLNs)
Hi Readers!
Attached within this blog post is my Personal Learning Network (PLN) plan. As an educator and instructional designer, having an involvement within various PLNs has many benefits. Collaboration, communication, areas of growth, relevance, new ides, and so much more! If you are unsure what PLNs are, maybe want to know more, or are already involved in your own PLNs, I hope you are able to take away some new information from the plan, that you can use within your personal or professional life. 😁💡

The Power of a Learning Wall in the PYP Classroom
Learning Wall “When the walls speak, students listen—not just with their ears, but with their hearts and minds.” As an IB PYP music educator, I believe that a learning wall is more than just a display—it is a living, breathing reflection of our students’ journey. It is a space where their voices, ideas, and progress are made visible, fostering a sense of belonging and ownership in the…

Challenges for Connected Professionals: The shadow-side of the PLN
Challenges for Connected Professionals: The shadow-side of the PLN
When you speak with teachers who maintain a Personal Learning Network (PLN) for professional learning, most of them wonder how they ever lived without it.

I bookmarked the websites, software programs, and social media outlets that I use the most in categories such as Frequently Used, Productivity, and Social Media. I also created a category for Marketing, which include different forms of marketing and other marketing tips. My Papaly Board serves as a quick way to find this information whenever I need it.
Feedly Screenshot
I made a category for business, design, marketing, and news because I feel they are more relevant to the Internet Marketing program I am in. Adding publications, blogs, and newsletters from Feedly will keep me updated on current news and trends.

I previously created a LinkedIn account a couple of years ago, but I did make some adjustments to my profile. For instance, I added Full Sail University to my Education section. I also checked for any grammar and spelling errors.

Designing a connected future - A keynote for the UQ Cyberschool Seminar
Designing a connected future – A keynote for the UQ Cyberschool Seminar
On Friday 20 July I had the pleasure of presenting the keynote for the UQ Cyberschool Seminar, which is an annual professional learning event for educators, with a particular focus for teacher librarians. I have included my presentation below, and also have put together some resources to support the ideas that I discussed.
Many of the theoretical and pedagogical concepts that I referred to I have…
