Man, sometimes I don't like being a student aspiring to become a storybook artist, because my drawings are smaller than a thumb and too simple. And it's fun to draw Piglet, because he's supposed to be small, but I still struggle with his size HAHA... Ha.
And I finally got to draw Tigger with his full body.
I know, he doesn't look like the original Disney version, nor even like the illustration from the original book; but that's because they're just visual headcanons for him, completely personal, leaning toward the basic ideas of Disney's Tigger but also seeking a "redesign" of his appearance.
*Puts a hand on the door before you can close it*...THAT'S NOT ALL!
There are also visual headcanons for Owl!
I couldn't forget about our dear friend with speech disabilities. Owl!
I tried to give him a slightly more "furry" or "puffy-feathered" look on his face, simulating a beard on his cheeks and chin (they're just feathers). Of course, I gave him little glasses, a pocket watch he can't read,
and pants... why not?
Every time I see an owl walking on the ground, its feet have feathers stuck to them, making it look like "little pants". It's a really fun and cute look, you should see it!
Finally, a drawing of Rabbit trying on a gardening hat!!!◝(ᵔᗜᵔ)◜
Tbh I don't really view the death scene of lucerys as “Aemond losing control” or just “Lol, Aemond can't even control his own dragon” He was very much able to the entire time he was trying to scare off luke, and feeling Luke's fear or just in self defense, Arrax blew fire into Vhagars face, which is what pissed her off. Up until then she was literally listening to Aemond, but then it took a big ass turn.
That's when Viserys' “The idea that we control the dragons is an illusion.” applies heavily.
Let me break it down for you in simple terms.
Tigers are wild animals yes, and you are raising one, it listens to your every bit and commands yes!! but when it's life is threatened it's not going to wait for your command to strike or not, it's going to defend itself regardless whether you're their owner.
Dragons are literally wild animals, targaryens/valyrians tried to domesticate them.
This is why when people bring up "Laena was literally able to command a fire that didn't burn daemon or caraxes!!” as a way to claim that Aemond and Vhagar don't have a strong bond makes me laugh. Caraxes wasn't feeling threatened, neither did he initiate any type of combat with her 😭
The mario movie went in a really interesting direction with peach. It's fresh, I like it. A lot of artists also add things to peach that make her unique in the artist's own way. But I really like your art and how you depict peach. When people think of a "strong female character" they think of "woman who fights and is strong in a more physical manner". This bias can lead to harmful conclusions such as thinking that OG peach doesn't have a personality or she isn't a strong character. Your art and the way you depict her is my favourite because it really captures who peach really is. She's kind and she always thinks of her people and the people she loves. Your art is very good at capturing her gentleness and shows how strong and how well written she really is. I love your art! Keep up the great work :))
Thank you! 🥺💖 That means a lot!
I entirely agree. The thing is, I don't have anything against a physically strong female character! But I must say I truly resent whenever combativeness is shown as this ultimate personality trait without which said character wouldn't be as great or as interesting. Especially when it's made so obvious and presented so insistently that it completely obscures everything else the character is or should be.🚶♀️
Not saying it's the case for movie Peach! But I must admit I'm really hoping the story will not brush aside her other (gentler) qualities. 🙇♀️
As I mentioned before, there exist many, many types of strength. And I personally view kindness as one of the most powerful forces of all, hence why I like giving it a special emphasis in my art. 💞
I like the whole lab stuff having refs to conversion therapy, but I hope it stays refs and like, a metaphor. I feel like going the straight up "so yeah it was all about homosexuality" would feel a bit... coarse. Clumsy. Idk, i think it works better as a metaphor.
Gosh, I’m really fed up with the “If Castiel had been a woman, you wouldn’t have any problem with Destiel being canon”, like we were a bunch of homophobic assholes.
What you don’t understand is that one thing we love about Supernatural is the lack of romance. Which allow to focus on the characters and their struggles, like Jared said very well during SDCC:
For the record, I loathe Destiel as much as I loathe Saileen. I just don’t care about Sam & Dean love life. I care about their relationship with each other (as brothers), their friendships, their struggles to protect the world & their family.
I actually like this movie. The costumes were superb and what not, but my only pet peeve was Katherine of Aragon who once again was used as a foil to enhance Anne. I don't have anything against the actress, I have seen Irene in other works alongside Genevive, both are great, but the directors did such a huge disservice to Katherine in this one. For one, I don't know what they were trying to show here, that Katherine is a neurotic old dotted woman who dresses more like a nun than a Queen. Of course we all know Spaniards dressed like that. Katherine was known for her good dress, as pious as she was, she was very aware of her position and would never have worn dresses that made her look less than what she was. She wore expensive jewels and fabrics and she didn't wear that Burgundian or Flemish hood hybrid (which is what I guess the writers were trying to portray here) by this time. It had fallen out of fashion and the only indication that she ever wore that was during her marriage to Arthur. She wore gable hoods and on times like in the miniature of her, jeweled diadems. She was auburn, blue eyed and she was also plump by this period.
I’m tired of seeing so much elitism around Tarot, like, those who believe to be better readers than others for taking a hundred courses and reading hundreds of books, saying that it’s the ONLY way to interpret Tarot.
There is no right or wrong way of interpreting the cards and there’s certainly not only one way to learn about them.
