The Path of Life

Personal development is an ongoing process. On the path of enlightenment, it is easy to become distracted by the glamor of extrasensory experiences.

However, these perceptions are for learning, not for basing our lives on.

Be wary of the universe’s ploys to divert your attention. “Before enlightenment, chop wood carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood carry water.” Stay in balance.

Our relationship with choice and our experience of having choices is often related to how empowered or disempowered we feel. If we have experiences of believing we didn't have a choice or situations where our ability to choose was removed from us, we can struggle with making choices in all sorts of areas. We can also continue in life with a "belief" or "script" that says we can't make choices or our choices will be wrong or we don't have a right to choose differently. We can also believe we don't have a choice about what we do next and outsource that to others. Choice is fundamental in feeling empowered and our relationship with our choices is where we can begin to empower ourselves. I know everyone (ok not everyone, but lots of people) are talking about taking a positive spin on the current situation. That's great if it supports them (or you) in the process, it doesn't make it "the right thing to do" or even the most effective thing to do, unless its what they( or you) need. Needs are at the foundation of our choices, unmet needs drive unconscious behaviours and limit our satisfaction/contentment in life. My only advice, is do you. Everything I suggest or introduce you to on this or any of my platforms, please please please filter it through your own "needs system" We suppress who we are and disconnect from our selves when we don't filter advice through our own needs system, when we don't discern the why behind the activity. Anything you do at this point, actually at any point is most effective if its aligned with who you really are and what you really need and NOT who you think you should be or think you should do. An example in my own life was picking up my personal journal again, writing with my favourite pen, not because I should but because I needed to express myself.
