This is my most recent sugar skull drawing. I rendered it in colored pencil.
Your feet are your physical foundation. They hold you up and help transport you from one place to another.
You rely on your feet for many activities. So it is crucial to take good care of them. Caring for your feet increases stability and balance.
Regular yoga practice is one of the best ways to do this. Yoga helps strengthen your muscles and bones and increase your flexibility.
There are many yoga based exercises you can practice to build physical equilibrium and increased durability.

Eating fresh fruits is very good for your health. They are abundant and delicious in the hot summer months. Fruits are loaded with nutrition and an excellent source of fiber. They are also high in antioxidants and flavonoids which protect your body from diseases.
Fresh summer fruits help keep you hydrated. And their natural sugar is metabolized much better than refined sugar, providing a more healthy and stable boost of energy.
Healthy eating is not difficult when you are a busy person or need to make something quick for a lunch meeting. I put together this snack board in 15 minutes.
A variety of foods like this will provide you with substantial nutrition and healthy energy. Natural nutrients are what you need for ongoing body mind wellness.
Pay attention to your body and mind. Balance is essential to optimum health.
Emotional Well-Being
Be well, Be healthy, Be safe, Be balanced
Late Autumn Oysterling
This is late autumn oysterling, Panellus serotinus. In Asia, it is known as mukitake. They have an olive hue when fresh and turn brownish beige as they age. Late autumn oysterling is edible but has a slightly tough texture and must be cooked thoroughly. They tend to be smaller in size than regular oyster mushrooms. They also tend to grow in small groups, unlike regular oysters which grow in larger groups.
Wild Barberry
This is me picking barberry in late November. You have to harvest a lot of these little berries just to make a small jar of tincture.
When harvesting wild plants, I prefer to pick from different areas, if possible, and not take everything from the same spot. It’s better for the environment.
I have noticed that wild animals tend to eat a little from one spot, move on, and eat a little more from another spot. It’s nature’s way of keeping things in balance.
The Path of Life
Personal development is an ongoing process. On the path of enlightenment, it is easy to become distracted by the glamor of extrasensory experiences.
However, these perceptions are for learning, not for basing our lives on.
Be wary of the universe’s ploys to divert your attention. “Before enlightenment, chop wood carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood carry water.” Stay in balance.

Lion’s Mane Mushroom
I have lots of dried lion’s mane mushroom for sale. Lion’s mane has a mild and delicate flavor, and it is loaded with nutrition and medicinal properties.
This mushroom has been demonstrated to prevent cancer and heal neurological and cognitive issues.
The dried mushroom can be reconstituted and used for cooking. It can also be used to make a tincture, extract, or tea.
Frankincense and Myrrh
Frankincense and myrrh have been used for many purposes for thousands of years. They are both trees resins with aromatic and medicinal properties. People of many cultures have used the resins to treat and heal wounds.
Frankincense is calming and soothing, while myrrh is uplifting. The dried resins are often used as incense and burned on charcoal tablets.

By the River
By the river I walked along
On paths with natural planting.
By the river I heard a song,
As the wind was gently chanting.
In chorus were chirps and whistles
Of birds in the trees and thickets,
And from the bushes and bristles
The hum of insects and crickets.
From among the watery weeds
Ducks and geese clanged in formation.
By the river I found the seeds
Of creative inspiration.
