04#20 About guilt tripping
I want to talk about the feeling of guilt. It belongs to the negative feeling state category. It is one of the “sad” emotions, which also include agony, grief and loneliness, according to the framework of Fischer, Shaver & Carnochan.
How exactly is this feeling caused?
We often feel guilt at moments when we are convinced to be the one who cause harm. It is the feeling of responsibility for the misfortune of others. The feeling that you did something wrong or bad to another person. It feels horrible and often we want to get rid of this feeling. Sometimes it pushes you to do something for another person.
Let me tell you a small story. Guilt is a horrible feeling that I would never want anyone to feel. Sadly, I know somebody who made me feel guilty. Call it manipulation, call it whatever you want but I like to use the term guilt tripping. I will tell you about my trip.
It started with an innocent friendship. It was a nice friendship, we laughed, we chatted and sometimes hang out. At some point, I made priorities in life and it made me seeing and talking to this person less. And they made me feel bad about it. Sometimes I texted them but it ends up in a one-way conversation. The person never texts me back. And when I have time, they guilt tripping me to say that it is my fault to be so busy.
“I did not want to bother you, I was waiting for you to contact me. It has been a while since we met, when are we seeing each other again?”
The guilt is building up. I love to spend my time efficiently, so usually when I have an appointment, I would schedule something else after it as well. One day, I end up meeting this person again. I did not miss them, neither I had interest in the life that they have been living till now. I made this appointment pure of guilt. We spend like 5 hours together and I needed to go back for my next appointment. That person did not liked it. I told them a day ago that I needed to head back at a certain hour. For almost the whole day, this person was telling me how sad it was that we hanging out so less in many different ways. I did not identify any gratefulness for a single moment. I tried so hard making this person laugh and look at the positive side of our meeting. In the end I felt an extremely bad feeling inside my stomach when I headed back. It was so bad, I almost got anxiety attack of it. Meditation calmed me down.
I have some advise for you: Whenever you feel guilty, watch closely who is talking you into this feeling. Is the guilt really from you or is it another person? Awareness is great. Stay curious to the mind and remember that emotions will pass. Learn from it. Keep yourself out of unnecessary guilt.
For those who did this to others, ask yourself this question:
“Are you truly enjoy the moment or are you spending your time wandering with thoughts?”
Many people are often bothered by the past, look where you at right now. You can not see the bright side if you are searching in the shadows.
43#19 Astral Projection
Experiences are interesting things. Our individual perception is hard to confirm. When we view an object, another person might interpret it differently. What we see, might not be what it really is. We came into this world and learned to identify things in a certain way. Is it still possible to see things “as it is”?
This week was a very special week. I learned about a different perception of “ reality”. What is reality? Do you really think we already know everything about the world?
I highly believe that there is a dimension we are not aware of. I once read about Astral Travel and from my experience that I gained, I believe we are capable of unraveling many mysteries, not only in the physical world but in the “mental world” as well.
It was an early morning. I woke up, brushed my teeth, drink some water and went meditating. I was still sleepy so I was lying down while meditating. I watched my breathing and felt relaxing. At some point I had enough of it and tried to pick my phone to cancel my timer. It was strange...My body did not move, my body was asleep and I was able to move out of my body. I saw 2 kinds of visions. The vision of me in third person and the vision through the eyes of my body.
Some might say, it might be a lucid dream. I can only tell you, if you ever experienced this feeling, you can surely can conclude that it is Astral traveling.
It scared the hell out of me.
39#19 Reiki experience
For those who do not know about it yet, I am using the app Insight Timer for my meditation sessions. Past week I was invited in a group for a Reiki distance healing session. I heard about Reiki before and because of my awareness for energy , I do believe this might work. However, healing in distance seems a very strange concept for me. I agreed and tried the free offered healing. Reiki is a spiritual energy healing. I do not know exactly the procedures how they doing. You probably can look up on the internet to know more about it.
Anyway, I wanted to share you about my experiences because he did a healing session of 7 days. During these 7 days, he was healing everyone at a certain hour. As a participant of the healing session, you did not need to do anything. However it was recommended to do something relaxing such as bathing, meditating or just rest.
As you might know, lately I feel quite sensitive of energy of myself and around me. It is a hard concept to explain but easy to understand when you can feel it as well.
During the 7 days, I felt when he was healing me. There was this warm pulsating sensation around me. Memories came up, tears came out of nowhere, insight was clear and I also an urge to put my hands on certain areas of my body. There was this random force that I had. I felt the urge to put my hands on my Solar Plexus and throat chakra. I felt it was needed and so I did. The Reiki Master told me that Reiki is balancing my energies where I need it the most. I definitely felt that he was healing me. It gave me insight of certain blockages and memories. I search on the internet and they said that you do not need to believe in Reiki to receive healing. After the 7 days of healing, I definitely feel some difference in my body and mind.
You might think, maybe this is all just in your head. I think, there is a reason why people become Reiki healers and I do not see any harm to try it out again.
