Review: This might actually be my all-time favourite AU. The whole of Foundations!verse is so beautiful, intricate and well thought-out—I could wax lyrical about it for days. The plot for Reparations is well fleshed out and engaging, but nothing too heavy. Harry and Draco's jobs are something like Healer-Therapist hybrids, where they help recovering drug addicts transition back to normal life. Harry and Draco have multi-faceted personalities which develop so naturally as the story progresses. There’s a great deal of relationship development here—not just the romantic development between Harry and Draco, but also the development of friendships between them and the characters they’re surrounded by. The OCs in this fic are amazing; they’re multi-dimensional, supporting the story as co-stars instead of background characters.
The plot for Foundations is more slice-of-life style—it doesn’t revolve around a particular event, but instead follows the lives and relationships of Harry, Draco and the other Foundations!verse OCs. It’s heart-warmingly domestic and although the length of the fic may seem intimidating, it’s not impossible—by the time you finish Reparations, you’ll be so in love with the Foundations!verse that you’ll cherish every word.
Honestly, nothing can express my love for this AU. Every quirk, every character, even every peacock, holds a piece of my heart. I recommended my friends to read this series, and they love it just as much as I do. We make Flapjack Thursday and Latin references and get scream a but every time we smell lavender (okay, it’s mostly just me, but they do appreciate my references and are overcome by the feels every time I mention the Foundations!verse.) I don’t know what I can say to get you to read it, but you’ll truly be missing out on so much if you don’t give this a shot!
