Höyryttääkö kukaan muu perunat?

Äidillä oli kattilassa höyry osa ja se aina kypsensi perunat höyryllä eikä keittämällä. Eka asia jonka ostin kun muutin pois kotoa oli kattila ja höyry lisäosa. (Sekä puuro lisäosa joulun riisipuuroa varten)

Oletin siihe asti että se oli normaali tapa kypsentää potut, mutta lisäosan löytämisessä kesti niin kauan että aloin epäilee :D

Peruna Review

Today I’m reviewing an UTAU from one of my old favorite creators. Morinopome is (was)? decently popular on UTAU Twitter and did a lot of standing art/art commissions for UTAUs. My UTAU Twitter days are long gone, but I always meant to review one of their voices. This one wasn’t actually voiced by Morinopome, but oh well. I’ve been localizing her name as Perna in my head for so long, but there’s no official romaji spelling so I’ll have to say it the way it’s written.

Bio

Name: Peruna/ペルナ Gender: Female Age: 6-7 years old Height: 132cm Likes: Flowers, Papa Remarks: Sheep-like chimera girl. She was picked up at a church and lives in an orphanage there. She doesn't know her parents, so she calls her priest Papa. She grows faster than humans.

Peruna has an official website on Wix. Their download is hosted on Bowlroll.

Her voicebank is about 205 MB when unzipped and has almost no generated frqs (there are some but only about 5 per pitch).

First Impressions

Peruna has a soft, quiet voice with a childish lilt. Her samples are very quiet, which leads to a heavy artificial sound in the editor.

Configuration

Peruna is a tripitch VCV recorded at C4, E4, and G4. She has glottal stops for every vowel combination, vocal fry, and end breaths. The glottal stops sound good, but the vocal fry is very minimal and not noticeable a lot of the time. She has no other notable extras from what I could tell.

Her range is about F3-F5 but bottoms out very quickly. If you’re going to use her low at all a suitable resampler is needed. Her high range is very good and she can do falsetto decently well despite not having a dedicated pitch for it.

The oto has whole numbers for almost every entry and a consistent ratio of 100:300 for preutter/overlap. For some reason there are a lot of unnumbered duplicates. It works decently enough. Clearing STP/settings in a more complex UST is basically required though.

The quality of the samples creates some harsh white noise. It goes well with Peruna, sounding whispery and giving her an almost Kaai Yuki-like sound. Most of her consonants are aspirated too, leaving this dreamy & ethereal vibe.

Final Thoughts

Peruna is a simple and a little generic vb, I just like to talk about little creatures and needed a breather so she seemed perfect. Pome has a lot of other UTAUs on their website if she doesn’t seem interesting.
