a/n: a little note to clear things up, since this story got a lot of hate and a "fix-it-fic" written about it previously:

please heed the warnings on this fic. i will try to update tags as best as i can with each update, but know that there are some tags i will omit for sake of not spoiling the story. i want to make this clear now just in case that's not your cup of tea (:

this is not a dark romance, this is not a stockholm syndrome story, this is a horror story. if you come into this story thinking simon is going to warm up to reader, or that reader will have a good time, you will be very disappointed. i've added both the ghoap x reader and soap x reader tag because i personally think it can be read as both, but some people have disagreed previously.

thinking of a mcspirk pet!au where Jim is a stray dog who gets taken to the shelter and befriends (aka annoys the living hell out of) Leonard, a Leonberger whose previous owners gave him up. 

Christopher Pike only came to buy a good guard dog, and didn’t expect to come home with two dogs. Neither of which are guard dog material unless you count Jim who likes to chase the mailman. 

And Pike would also do anything to get his neighbors show cat Spock (some  expensive purebred) from sneaking into his garden and scratching at his door in the early hours of the morning. Which he can technically stop if he only had the self discipline to stop giving him treats.
