missing one of my departed cats today so wanna share some pics of her

her name was Charles Benjamin bc when we rescued her quite literally from the street we thought she was a boy but we called her Charlie for short. she was the sweetest, most cuddly cat, a ferocious roach killer, a drool monster, a purr that sounded like a motor, and that look of love every time she stared at you — its been a few years but some days just hit harder than others

Pet Remembrance Day | Pet Divine

Pets play an important part in our lives. They are our companions, playmates, friends and support. Being an integral part of our family, when they are gone, we feel their absence keenly.

We don’t need a special day to remind us of our pet loss, because we remember them all the time.  Thank goodness for memories. A previous blog post mentioned a few ways pet owners can remember their pets who have passed on.

However, having a national day – Pet Remembrance Day – to remember the pets we have lost acknowledges their importance.

They meant a lot to us and their loss …well sometimes it’s difficult to find the words to express how we feel in the moment and even much later.

But we know that while they are no longer by our side, they are forever in our hearts

You may not need help at the time, it may be weeks or months later, after the loss of a beloved pet. But if you find that at some point you require pet bereavement support, please do have a look at our website which signposts help available for grieving individuals and families.
