If Love Could Bring Them Back… This Is What It Would Look Like

A small model of my late best friend. He lived for 19 years and has now gone to doggy heaven—

if such a place exists :D

He was a mixed breed, so I haven’t been able to find a figurine that looks exactly like him, but this is the closest I could come.

This is what he looked like as a puppy, and his name was “Flíček”—“Patch” in English.

The box and the bag on the promenade at Little Bispham, Blackpool, contained numerous tennis balls, left in memory of a dog. It left me wondering why the late dog needed so many balls. The bag and the balls it contained had gone after Storm Eowyn.

Yesterday, January 12th 2025 at around 2:20 am EST, my other elder chihuahua Lili passed away. She had congenital heart disease and fluid in her lungs. She was struggling to breathe and she collapsed 3 times where we had to give her CPR. It was at a point where the humane thing was to put her to sleep.

It hurt to let her go. She made it to 15 years old last September and I couldn’t ask for a better first dog. I got her as a puppy when I was 4 years old. My mom’s friend’s chihauhau had a litter of puppies and I picked Lili from behind a couch. She was our fiesty little Lili, the last member of her original litter left, and now she’s gone. We gave her a good life filled with love and she gets to be with Lola again.

The two of them used to be really close before Lola passed away as Lola would think Lili was her puppy. I Sometimes I wonder if it’s because of Lola’s passing that caused Lili’s steep decline over the past year.

Rest well, Lili. I loved you so much and I hope you know that. I hope you’re happy and free from suffering wherever you are now. Fly high🕊
