So, as SOON as we got this sofa our tiny rescue poodle Rosie instantly and inexplicably decided that this spot on the back of it was now her "bed" and sat up there constantly. Eventually, my mother moved Rosie's blanket up onto it for her, but this had the interesting side effect that both our cats now ALSO love to sit in this spot because of the nice fleecy blanket. Therefore:
One day we will see the fabled Rosie + Austen configuration, or perhaps even... the hat trick...
I'm not addicted to taking paparazzi photos of him, I swear, he's addicted to the camera.
a cat is a form of small, furry roommate who keeps trying to dip their little paws in your bowl of salsa

I was cleaning my room and put this little sombrero on Merlin and he hated every second of it
First days Wikipedia updates:
-hes SO chill. Like, too chill. I'm actually pretty worried he might have some kind of problem causing him pain because he moves so little. A cursory search says siamese don't have any known health issues like that [like, not Scottish fold type bullshit], but they also say siamese are generally pretty energetic so 😬. He does have typical siamese clingy-ness and meowing-at-me-all-the-time-ness though. Gonna try to do vet stuff next weekend, I'm hoping he's just in an adjustment/recovery period from being outside for however long hes been a stray. Bad outcome is he's got some weird off the wall health problem, good outcome is he's just uncharacteristically lazy. Wheee
-lady said he apparently used to be someone else's pet and they dumped him when they moved from the neighborhood. He's not neutered, which is weird, but he is definitely already litterbox trained and is good at free-eating which is nice
-bathing him went poorly but he was very polite. surprisingly didn't seem to be too dirty anyway, and no bugs, which is the main thing I'd been worried about
For those who don’t know, Tantalum’s refreshed markings are 100% copied from my 6 lb tiny derp Ariana. She’s 10 years old now! I can’t believe how time has flown! Love you loaf! 🥹💕
