An amazing video by one of my favorite creators!
Paths less traveled
Yet another film/video of amazing photographer Peter McKinnon
In this video he talks about how basically everyone is struggling to get that perfect shot, to create something new and original. That at times like this we see others doing amazing things in life and showing it on internet - we get jealous. But the point is, that everyone is struggling with it. That he, himself, is struggling to make those perfect shots and that.
‘The easiest things to take for granted are the people in places you see every day’
Sometimes you need to ‘disconnect’ from everything and be by yourself, when everything fades away and you are left with the beauty that life actually is.
Peter McKinnon
Adopt Me
Low Key wish a professional photographer would adopt me for a month and let me be their slave and learn from them hands on. So pretty much I want to be an intern. But also a girls gotta work.
I have something to say about YouTube
I love youtube, ok? I think it’s one of the greatest inventions of the modern internet. It’s useful and entertaining and quirky and it suits my jack-of-all-trades personality *perfectly*. But!
And I’m sure you knew there was a but coming.
There this...well, this culture of really interesting vlogs that could broadly fall into the heading of “guys being back on their bullshit and just being adult children who live really interesting lives and tell you about it”. And don’t get me wrong - it’s an AWESOME type of vlog. I love Casey Neistat as much as the next person and I enjoy following his life. But almost all the people in the this vlog category are men (and I say almost because although I haven’t personally seen any I’m assuming there’s one or two..). Where are the women living carefree lives having cool experiences getting to be a giant child and recording it for a living? Is it just that it isn’t safe for us to have these experiences? Is it that they’re enabling the men so they can have these experiences (as per usual)? Are they just not participating because it’s such a boys club? I wish I could see more women having carefree fun and that being their livelihood, that’s all. I wish this culture of “fun awesome vlog” wasn’t such a boys’ club.
And yeah if you have reccs for women who fall into this category of carefree life vlogs with high production value then please, pass them my way!
Dziś weekendowo zapraszam Was na dawkę linków wartych uwagi. Sprawdźcie, co czytam i oglądam, czego słucham i kogo śledzę: Youtube, Instagram, blogi.
