Peter Sobotta scores a massive second round TKO over Ben Saunders

Maybe I shouldn't be but I'm ALL in on Peter Sobotta now. Maybe he's not a future title contender or anything but this is not the same guy getting swamped out by Amir Sadollah. This is a legitimately good 170er these days. Ben Saunders has his fourth bad UFC performance in a row but a lot of that had to do with what Peter Sobotta was doing as well. His striking and the angles he's putting together on the feet are SO good. A+++++ from Peter Sobotta.

Peter Sobotta stops Killa B Saunders in the 2!

Huge stoppage win for Sobotta. Had Saunders hurt throughout the fight and was able to get him out of there in the 2nd. Rocked him multiple times with the left hand and then ended it on a big knee.

Peter Sobotta beats Nicholas Dalby on the cards.

What a show up fight for Sobotta. Looked like the vastly superior athlete, dominating especially on the mat. Dropped Dalby on a short uppercut in the first round, proceeds to beat him down and almost lock up a RNC. The RNC attempt opens up a huge cut under Dalby's eye. Comes out in the 2nd and catches a kick that turns into a TD. Dalby had a better 3rd but was still eating power shots and got taken down in the middle of the round.

Well I guess that spoils that now doesn't it?

Peter Sobotta takes a 3 round decision. The story of Sobotta's time outside of the UFC (winning a tournament, nearly dying) makes you sort of overlook he's not a very good fighter. Still props to him.
