Director & Writer: Stuart Ortiz
Mini-review:
It's been a while since I last watched a mockumentary, a genre that has always been kinda hit or miss for me, and this one basically falls in the middle of that scale. There are some interesting ideas on display, but it never manages to distinguish itself from other "true crime"-inspired horror films. Also, there's a clear lack of budget, which means the overall aesthetic is unmemorable and some of the acting leaves a bit to be desired. Still, the movie keeps a solid pace and it's never boring, plus it manages to build enough tension in most of the key scenes. I guess Strange Harvest is not as unique as it thinks itself to be, but I wouldn't say it's a bad movie per se.
