My first time working on 28 count (stitches per inch) linen. The blue ground is petitpoint but the horse and top band are cross stitch so they pop out a bit. I backed it with a piece of purple faux suede that looks like velvet at this scale. I'm planning on making one every year until I have a stocking for every member of the doll family

This is a variation of the Lady Sheaffer XXIV Petit Point c. 1959.  The engraving method used likely created pattern shifts and longer and shorter flowers that can be seen on these pens.  This clipless model features a black enameled metal cap and barrel with an engraved repeating floral design with what Sheaffer called silver color fill.   The cap band is also a silver color fill decorative engraving.  The section is Jet black to match the cap and barrel.  Note the gold nib with palladium plating.  It's about 5 3/8 inches long capped.  This pen was $27.50.  There is no mention of a matching pencil in the 1959 catalog.
