This is a public service announcement. Holy shit. Just a heads up. I went to Pet People to buy some spray for my cats skin. They sold me a product that they had their little green cat approved dot on. It was a product for dogs. I questioned it because it had lidocaine in it, and other ingredients that I knew were toxic to cats but they insisted. I left the store feeling odd and looked it up. On the bottle it said “ do not use on cats”. The Tomlyn company site said not to use it on cats. Four vet sites said to not use it. The only site that said it was just fine was Chewy. I returned it right away, but it occurred to me to let you know because I know so many buy food and other things from Chewy. I’m so glad I returned it because the young women immediately went to look it up on the Pet People master site and now they are probably going to have to remove it from the shelves nationwide. They were very responsive and handled it right away. Thank goodness. I’m still a little freaked out by it. It’s an honest mistake , but it could have been a fatal one. Always read the labels!
