leaves crunch beneath footfalls, a surge of power engulfing the teenager’s trail as blonde hair whips in air. a car is left upon a road, smoke streaming from its engine as the remnants of a battle between two vampires and something else lays in her wake. fear, and anger, spiral through a golden aura. they’d found her outside her school, away from the protection it afforded her. she’d been in town-- a town where she’d felt safe for the last two years, legacy having been laid bare for her mental consumption years ago. the queen bee had known better than to become complacent, after all, she’d heard the tale of the vampire katherine-- even if she’d never met her half-sister personally. but the school and even her status within it had allowed her to feel safe, to become less jaded and forget.
that had allowed rose and trevor their opportunity to strike.
however, they hadn’t expected the girl’s own power hidden within, expecting a mere human they could wield for their own agendas. she’d blasted them back, run out of the abandoned house and stolen whatever vehicle they’d grabbed her in. of course, the vampires had given pursuit, the car crashing as they blocked her path. though weakened, the young blonde had used her power against them, fleeing into the woods near her grandmother’s home. at least she’d made it that far, and while perhaps not the smartest move-- all things considered-- she’d had to weigh her options in her flight. blood pools on the side of her face, steps taken two at a time as door slams and a barrier spell is used.
“grandma!” voice emits strained, yet determined. then she’s moving through the home, seeking out her ancestor until she finds the original vampire. “they found me. two vampires. i barely got away from them! and-- they called someone, i think elijah. what are we going to do?”
