Two weeks of term left and I am so happy to be moving on.

Perinatal mental health has been challenging for pretty obvious reasons and I’m ready to move onto the next thing.

People keep asking me when I finish. If all goes to plan (when does that happen?!) I have 18 months to go. That would mean I would finish on time - the full five years of training completed in five years. So few trainees get it done on that time. For most it’s closer to7 or 8.

It’s going to be a slog but 18 more months and two weeks and I could get my life back in some sort of way or shape…

How the f*** does a consultant just decide not to turn up to work even though they have an entire morning clinic booked?! Who does that?!

Frustrating and stressful and too much work for a single doctor, but somehow we got through it.

Yes. 24 hours a day. For seven entire days.

With the amazing reimbursement of $12.50 per day for the inconvenience, stress, and loss of sleep.

There are aspects of this job that I truly despise.
