so normally i dont do this but uh,

do you have any fic recommendations for a dan and phil fanfic with laywer!dan and forensic_linguist!phil ? Where dan is a lawyer who has to solve some kind of murder crime and meets phil, a forensic linguist, who has been assigned the same case, and now they have to figure out together whodunnit!

I tried to find some for the life of me but i barely cant find any, even tho ive seen a handful of people also looking for this kind of fic.

Phanfic Round Robin - Groups

(yup. I’m getting the most use out of this banner as I can. Those robin took forever to draw)

It is time to reveal the groups for the Phanfic Round Robin!

I had a lot of signups and because I didn’t want this to go on forever I’ve sorted people in to groups so we can produce a few fics. I’ll write the opening for all three groups but then it’s all up to you guys!

I’m putting the rest under a cut so that people not interested in this don’t have a really long post on their dash.

I’ve sorted these using complicated selection criteria over a number of different formula and algorithm... nah. I randomised it. but I did try to keep similar ages together a little bit, since we had such a range.

So what happens next?

I’ll send out the beginnings tomorrow (which I’ve totally written prior to this and am in no way about to write right after I finish this post) via email to one of the people in the list of groups above. (Not in the order they are presented, again I’m going to randomise because I don’t want to give away who has written which bit).

They will write their part (I was thinking minimum of 200 words, but could be more or less, up to you!) then send it back to me by the date in the email. I’ll then send it on to the next person and so on. 

The final person I send it to kind of has the responsibility to end the fic, and I’ll let you know if you’re last. However, as a contingency (because endings are hard, y’all) if you write a bit and find you can’t bring it to an end within your bit, I’m happy to pick up where you leave off and see if I can (no promises, we might end up with a cliffhanger ending!)

After that, I’ll post them on Tumblr and AO3 and everyone will be able to read our masterpieces!

The Serious Bit

This is all going to be loads of fun but I thought I’d stick some things we should probably all agree to to make this as fun for everyone as it can be, just so everyone is on the same page:

- No judging other people’s writing, everyone has different levels of experience with writing and with use of the English language but we’re all in this together. Fans support Fans, yeah?

- Along with no judging, don’t edit anyone’s writing. I’m going to compile them in a separate document so any edits made to previous parts won’t be updated, but it’s just kinda mean to edit someone’s art, yanno?

- If you can’t get your part of the fic back by your deadline, please let me know and we can either extend the deadline or I can send it to the next person and come back to you.

- There is a general consensus among the sign-ups that people would prefer not to write smut/kinks/sexual or abusive elements. So, while everything doesn’t have to be sunshine and rainbows and angst is totally fine, lets respect people’s boundaries. I’m going to reserve the right to pull anyone’s content that goes against this if I think it will, but of course I will try and have a conversation about it first.

- The idea is to do this without discussion so that each bit is only influenced by what has gone before in true Round Robin style, but I’ve put the names of the people in your group in case you want to contact each other. It’s allowed if you want to lol. It’d be a fun way to make friends if you don’t already know each other!

- Any questions, concerns, or random bursts of inspiration, feel free to send me an ask or a private message and I’ll hopefully be able to answer it!

As for fanfic recs, (if we’re talking phan) The Benefits Project is really good, and I read a really sad, really long oneshot yesterday called Phan tm (I actually cried because of it, and it takes a lot in a fanfic to make me do that). There’s also a sort of mythical au-ish thing called Libertas Volandi (I hope I spelled that right oops lol) that I read recently and it also made me cry. Not as much as phan tm did, but I was still crying. Also, there’s one called Brotherly Love that is really long but really good and slightly feelsy. (I cried just a little bit. Silent tears tho.)

When I read them, the benefits project and brotherly love were on wattpad, and the other two were on ao3.

Also, if you want to find good phanfics and you didn’t know about them already, (you probly do tho oops) (also just watch me give a cheeky spon to blogs I don’t even run) @phanfictioncatalogue and @phanfic are a couple of good places to go.

Also I just realized that all of the ones I recommend were sad. I apologize for not being more helpful XD
