Phantom of the Opera
So this scene in the movie always confused me. Christine was JUST singing about how scared she was of this guy, why was she now singing a love song with him? Didn't really follow it.
Then I saw the 25th Anniversary West End revival and the scene made a lot more sense. Apparently, Christine isn't supposed to know she's singing with the Phantom, she's supposed to think it's Piangi. And he's wearing an actual disguise. I mean, in the movie, he's just wearing a mask like normal. It literally never occurred to me that Christine didn't realize she was singing with the Phantom.
The movie also cut a scene in which Piangi's Don Juan explains why he's wearing this disguise. So in the stage version, we know why Christine would be comfortable with someone wearing this disguise. In the film, we don't know who Christine thinks she's singing with. There's just all of a sudden a musical number between the Phantom and Christine for no reason.
The stage version includes this scene, setting up that Christine is performing with someone she thinks is Piangi.
Not to mention, in the stage version, there is a clear realization moment that Sierra Boggess gives where Christine realizes her scene partner is the Phantom. And from that point on, she's actively trying to distance herself from him during the song.
In general, I think the plot was just much easier to follow in the stage version and I highly recommend it, as it was professionally filmed.

Comfort session for a sad ghost man, it's your turn
Hi, friends! This is the last post of the year, I'll be moving to another city really soon so I won't be able to draw anything till mid January. I wish you all have a great time with family, see ya soon!
Not so long ago I wanted to draw fanart but wasn’t sure about what style and amount of details to use, so here are the test ghosts that helped me! (I was almost convinced to use the last one, that’s why is better rendered).
I also had left my blog for years, that’s why the previous content and quality is so different, I was lazy and didn’t want to make another blog, sorry for that xD
