I just started playing DnD for the first time a few weeks ago as well! We're doing a fifth edition game with a rotating DM (so in a few months I'm gonna have to run sessions, which I'm super nervous about since I still feel a rather clueless at this point). We all randomly rolled our characters, stats, and back stories, and so far we've been doing some classic DnD stories--so for example, rats in the basement was our first adventure. It's a lot of fun! What edition is your group playing?

We’re playing 5th edition too, not sure what adventure we’re doing yet because we spent so much time dicking around with skype beforehand and one of our friends had to go to bed early so we didn’t actually play for very long

I’ve never heard of rotating DMs that sounds hella! not sure our group would be up for that though, our DM’s the only capable one haha, he knows his shit more than anyone in the group, being the one who got us all into it

We mostly chose our characters and backstories but rolled on a couple of little details to make it more interesting ^_^ I’m pretty clueless about it all too but it seems pretty easy to learn as we go ~ and I’ve been listening to a lot of roleplays online like Mirrorshades and Swan Song so I’ve got the basic idea of how it all works, I’m so keen to keep playing!!!

Stanley being there and ready to go through the portal when it opened has been bugging me. Maybe it was planned? It would explain why Stanley knew to be there, and how Stan knew exactly when he needed to open it so he could come through.

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude.

One thing that has still been bugging me is how, in the s1 finale, Stan gathers up the journals and definitely seems to say, “Finally, we have them all.” It’s a little muffled and rushed, and I think some people hear it as (I) have them all. But I hear “we.”

It’s possible I think that Stan and Stan have been in communication somehow. Probably not reliably or clearly, but SOME kind of communication. Wasn’t there a page in the book about Dipper guessing that this is due to like “some librarian going missing 50 years ago and being in crude contact with someone else in Gravity Falls”? Something like that. I’ll find the post.

I’m feeling it though.
