First of all, thank you so much for the request! Since you didn't specify, I'll use gender-neutral pronouns for reader. I hope that's okay ;3

Mettaton he always gave me the vibe of being very 'drama queen' vibes, so even in showing affection he would follow this 'dramatic' nature of his;

That is, every time he sees you, he hugs you, holds you tight and covers your face with kisses as if he hadn't seen you for ages (you saw each other four days ago);

In the process of kissing you, you find your face full of lipstick marks, and you don't even have time to react or say anything, you simply find yourself showered with kisses on your forehead, cheek, lips...;

One thing I like to imagine is that Mettaton always wears it in different colors, but most of the time it's also glittery;

Mettaton is very affectionate physically, it is definitely his favorite romantic language, and would always find excuses to kiss you on the face, even in 'weird' places like the space between your nose and lips. He is obviously very happy if you return his kisses, maybe with lipstick, or better yet, if you borrow one of his lipsticks;

One more thing, I imagine he'd love it if you did his makeup, or (if you're comfortable wearing it) did it to you.

Another headcannon about Mettaton:

Imagine finding out for the first time that the section of his faceplate under his bangs has always been missing. He’s been meaning to ask Alphys to repair it, but then he forgets and then she forgets and then. Well.

He winces slightly when you brush back his hair, just waiting for the negative reaction.

But it never comes.

Rather, you’re very intrigued in seeing this more intimate side of him, all the delicate wiring and sockets exposed. A shiver travels down his spine when you trace your finger over it all. He can’t thank you enough for loving him even like this.

A few months later, you do the same thing out of habit when the two of you are alone.

Except this time, that section of his face finally has a casing over it.

And to your surprise, it’s clear. Completely see-through.

Turns out, he wanted you to still be able to gush over that part of him while still keeping it protected from the elements.

Comet Sans:

He is very big on physical touch but becomes weak in the knees if you use words of affirmation.

For the first few weeks of dating, he will always ask if he can hug you or hold your hand, but once you give him the green flag, you’ll never escape from him.

Literally, he’s not a yandere, just a very clingy and soft skeleton.

WILL ask you to hold him reverse piggyback.

Basically just hold him like an infant; it’ll keep him grinning ear to ear while he naps.

Comet Papyrus:

Papyrus loves showing you love through his words and actions.

His spaghetti is his love token; extra points if you dote on him while he cooks it.

Only you can know his super secret sauce because you’re special to him, though if you have allergies, he’ll keep it away from you like the plague until he finds a new recipe (hopefully a better-tasting one. He’s trying.)

WOULD show you off to everyone the second the two of you start dating. At first (if you’re a human), they would refer to you as “Papyrus’ partner” but would stop as soon as you get better known in the underground.

Nice try holding him; you’re just his little teddy bear, not to mention he’s freakishly tall compared to you (but still lightweight), so it’s more of him crouching with you hugging his legs.

He loves when you sit by his bar; he’ll give you some nourishment while he closes up. He hopes you will talk his nonexistent ears off; he won't talk much, but hearing you talk while he cleans and unwinds after the day makes him relax more than you think.

He’s not very vocal (literally) about you two dating but would not mind a single bit if you told the whole underground. He just won't say it first.

He would rather prioritize your comfort and privacy than show you off like treasure. You may be one fine gold, but you’re more than just that to him.

He’ll accept every love language of yours; just don’t be shocked if he never initiates physical touch first

EVERY monster in the underground will know that you two are dating; he’s boasting about it till the day he dusts, so imagine what would happen if y’all get married.

You better be a social person, because he’ll drag you everywhere he has to go. Party or not, you’ll probably have to follow him around like a dog while he interacts with people, probably wondering how in the world a person has so much social battery and knows so, so many people.
