I love how stormcast eternals can canonically fuck but they also insist on talking about their friendships in the most grandiose and poetic terms.
Something I really like about them and especially how Josh Reynolds writes them is that the most monumental and important relationships in your life can be completely platonic, and the fact that for SCE their relations *can* be romantic shows that theme even so much clearer.
Pharus and Lynos are so important and dear to each other. Pharus is Lynos’ rock, he’s *part* of Lynos and losing him is to Lynos like losing a limb and it’s completely platonic, and I think that’s beautiful.
I know I’ve joked about his entire warrior chamber being in love with Gardus before but I actually adore that in canon they *are* - but it’s platonic. They would follow him to the ends of the worlds and beyond because he’s good, and gentle, and sweet, and they all love him and are unafraid to say so to everyone - and the fact that it’s a platonic love makes it in no way less or diminished, and they’ll still talk about it in terms of grandiose admiration.
