small dump i forgot i did these :] ft some headcanons

i was learning studying how the fuck to draw hat. grappling hook is so cool.

headcanons about the wranglers foraging. All of their foraging is done with education and they are for the most part quite experienced in it. Bee i think is the most so as she has to go out and find flowers to feed her bees. Chuck has the least experience which Hook and Bee try to help him with. Hook and Chuck prefer grasses but any sort of leafy green is a yummy w find. the hc is based off of their cowlike horns but i dont give them matching digestive anatomy, its more of a preference and they will still get sick if they eat too much grass lol. Bee i hc also really likes leafy greens but she prefers flowers and nectar. i love foraging edible flowers :] these guys also usually clean everything they find first if they're doing a dedicated foraging sesh or using it in meal prep but i can see at least hook and bee sometimes just plucking and snacking on nature as they go if the plant looks safe enough and is yummy raw. personally i dont think ive ever washed a red clover before eating it but i lived. usually check for bugs first tho.

And tara is the most complicated i think in that bugs are a main part of her diet, shes just kind of always eaten them. i didnt draw it at the time but tnt can smell ant pheromone and likes helping her find ants. ants are probably one of her favorites actually i think they have less variable flavor. i think she can and does eat arachnids but spiders specifically she really prefers not to. if tara is eating spiders its because theres not enough food to go around. i think that she might actually like scorpions though but prefers them fully cooked first, she prefers basically all her bugs fully cooked but scorpions r bigger and have more juice so its less palatable for her to eat raw, more of a texture thing than flavor. personally too much of a coward for scorpion so i wouldnt know. she also seasons the bugs. the doodle w bee's bees is mainly /silly i think bees are quite unappetizing but she's probably had the thought before at least. if anyone wants to eat them its probably chipper. if they had smaller livestock birds i can imagine they have mealworms or something they raise to be feed which tara would get most of her bug snacking from otherwise its smaller personal foraging sessions or impulsive. again i think tnt comes with her so maybe she also eats bugs on occasion but likely only fully prepped. maybe it finds ants too smelly to eat raw idk i like ant smell but i havent been able to smell pheromone on the ants ive eaten [they were cooked and seasoned but regardless ive only smelled ants like this a few times, i think im just not that sensitive to it so its only certain species]. I can imagine them both also participating in the forages that hook and bee might bring back or enjoy foraging w them on occasion as well.

i dont eat bugs regularly, i think i want to but its pretty sensationalized here like "oh how abnormal and strange ur eating crickets!!!!" ppl have been eating bugs forever my guy get w the program. tho personally cannot fathom eating crickets or especially grass hoppers, they are just too cute and their legs are too long and thin so i get textural problems.. anything w wings, hair, or eyes big enough to feel w my tongue too. which limits it to so far just mealworms and ants so far but maybe i'll get over it. also i think that sweet seasonings for them are like. gross they gotta be savory to compliment their natural flavor. sweets just try and cover up the taste which does not work imo honestly unsure if id rather eat plain meal worm at that point.

im subjecting her to the bee movie on my childhood crt. at least its bluray. actually what the fuck even was bluray did it look higher quality or something i didnt get my glasses until after i stopped using dvd for the most part.
