One of the most impressive castings I’ve ever seen is Frank Dunphy, Phil Dunphy’s dad from modern family. They look EXACTLY alike and the acting is so spot on. Like I literally think about it on all the episodes with Frank. I’m amazed by it. I had to look up the actors to see if they were actually father and son.

Omg um yeah so basically I’m always sad so eventually if I get attached enough to a sitcom I have to make it sad… so I’m not sure where we were in the series at that point (we have long since finished it), but there was one episode that focused a lot of Phil & people wanting him to take things seriously so I was like… what if I make this REAL SERIOUS and um… tw make him attempt suicide

Is it out of character? Possibly BUT I would like to argue that NO because a lot of the times the people who are trying to make everyone else smile are the ones who are hurting the most :)

So yes… that is the premise, basically. 😭
