Help Support Build2C Youth Robotics!
Competing in FIRST Robotics often requires hundreds of thousands of dollars, preventing many people from accessing the unique opportunities that come with the program. Build2C is determined to help close this gap by recruiting from low-income areas as well as using affordable materials and innovative designs to develop competitive robots and young engineers.
By supporting Build2C, you support youth around the world who may never have otherwise learned valuable STEM-related skills needed in today's digital age. Ranging from business planning to mechanical design, these assets help these young students find passions they never knew they had.
You can find the team’s GoFundMe page HERE. Every donation counts!

What do you mean by Malnutrition?
Why many children suffer from malnutrition?
How pregnant women are affected by malnutrition?
Yes, there are many questions which arise when we go for our field project and observe that many children are in the trap of malnutrition. Lack of proper nutrition, not having enough food to eat, not eating the right things, or being unable to use the food that one does eat, is what exactly malnutrition means.
Palghar District is just 107 km away from Mumbai, which is Maharashtra's capital city and economic powerhouse. It is rather surprising that despite this proximity, over 600 children have died due to malnutrition this year; and this number keeps rising. The talukas of Jawahar and Mokhada in Palghar district are the worst affected with almost 900 malnourished children.
In 2016, an RTI document revealed that 17,000 women and children have died due to malnutrition in the tribal districts across Maharashtra. In Jawahar, Mokhada talukas the underlying cause of maternal is child marriage. Due to archaic cultural practices, girls as young as 13 get married. The healthcare facilities in Jawahar are either non-existent or skeletal. Specialist doctors do not want to practice in the rural area, and this only adds to the problem. The main hurdle in improving the living conditions for women in children in these areas is increasing the level of awareness in a community that is largely uneducated and thus resistant to change.

Street Barber Who Gives Free Haircuts to the Homeless Gets Gifted His Own Barber Shop
Librarians are not shushing people, and libraries are no longer only silent cathedrals for solo reading. (They still have reading rooms—don't worry.) Instead, these great pieces of civic architecture are being repurposed: They're places that offer classes in computer skills and thousands of other subjects, provide internet access to millions of Americans who can't afford it, and host innumerable neighborhood meetings. Libraries these days are providing meals to kids and adults through local food banks, working with local immigrant agencies, offering homework help, and loaning out an amazing array of things, from musical instruments to microscopes. (Yes: the Library of Things.) What they're up to is dazzling. And in 2013, 94 percent of Americans said that having a public library improves the quality of life in a community. As America gets older and more unequal, its people need new forms of education to thrive—and libraries are ground zero for every public value the country cares about.

“I support homeless youth because I believe that no one should be homeless and especially at such a young age. I am particularly committed to supporting homeless youth who are people of color and/or LGBT because they face a myriad of challenges that compound the trauma of homelessness.” Erick P.- OMC Volunteer
