Roast Trip: Day 8 “The Last Hurrah” (Sadly security made me check in my camera, so I wasn’t allowed to take pictures at the concert. Instead, I’m posting some extra cute pics from earlier today.)

I think this stanza from Shawn Mendes’s song “One of Those Nights” perfectly describes, not only tonight, but every night of this trip. I can’t begin to describe to you how much this trip has meant to each of us! We have made memories that will for sure last a lifetime! We’ve laughed, we’ve cried, we’ve stressed, but more importantly, we’ve conquered.
The three of us were talking earlier today and we can’t possibly think of a better way to have ended this trip than at a concert! This is literally where it all started. Not literally at a concert, but with music. That’s what brought the three of us together as friends, and that’s what keeps us together. Tonight, as we stood with 13,000 other fans screaming at the top of our lungs, we were officially hit with the reality of everything that we’ve done this week! We’re so blessed and so thankful for being able to make this trip happen and make it happen together! Thank you to everyone who has kept up with us along the way; and to everyone who has supported and prayed for us as we lived a dream for the past 8 days! We love you all and please continue to pray for us as we drive back to Jackson tomorrow and go our separate ways to school again! -Shearon, Hope, and Love
Roast Trip: Day 8 "All You Need Is Love" For our last stop on Philly before our concert tonight we went to see the LOVE sculpture in Dilworth Park. It was located right in front of City Hall there were kids laughing and playing in the water fountains! You can definitely tell it's the end of our trip cause we're all drained and in desperate need of caffeine. However, we're currently en route to Starbucks to refuel before seeing Shawn!! Roast Trip: Day 8 The later part of the afternoon in Philly was spend at Betsy Ross's house and Burial and Elfreths Alley. It's a alley that dates back to the 1700s and sits in the midst of a modernized city! It felt like we were back in time walking down the cobblestone walkway. On the way to the LOVE sculpture (post coming soon) we saw a huge American Flag mural on the side of a building and just had to stop and take pics with it! It's the small random things like this that end up being so neat! -Shearon, Hope, and Love
