Wildcat (2023) dir. Ethan Hawke cine. Steve Cosens
Going through a Daniel Diemer phase right now and was pleasantly surprised by this film. A quietly funny and poignant film about the pressures one places upon themselves in the name of family. I really enjoyed this easy going road trip between two brothers that hold festering resentment for each other while they crumble under the weight of an overbearing but well meaning father. While tackling the serious matters of drug abuse, addiction and suicide this film also explores the concept that siblings are just simply different and that’s okay. As an only child i’m always going to fascinated by the concept of siblings and the way that kind of relationship is portrayed here is one of my favorites in a long time.
