Re: Odysseus

@ allyougotisrain.  I’m with you on Odysseus.  He’s not a good guy.  An interesting character in stories, yes, but I’ve never forgiven him for the terrible thing he did to  Philocthetes and the tarnishing of  Neoptolemus/Pyrrhus in the same play.  He did a lot of dubious stuff over the course of the Iliad and Odyssey and so much of his problems and the death of those around him is on one way or another his fault.  He’s unpleasant.  (Especially if you’ve read Philocthetes in which he is the worst.  Seriously, the WORST).

I just wanted you to know you weren’t alone in having strong opinions about characters in art from the ancient world.
