fredyholzer StratigraphicExpressionism por fredy holzer Por Flickr: Pleonexia does not move through history. It settles within it. Every civilization leaves another layer, another deposit of memory, conflict, desire, and power. None succeeds in extracting the original vein. What we call progress often becomes another geological stratum covering impulses that remain unchanged. In Stratigraphic Expressionism, the canvas is not a window onto events but an archaeological terrain. Faces emerge as cognitive fossils, suspended between erosion and remembrance, while the material itself carries the weight of accumulated consciousness. The red fault crossing the composition is not a narrative element but a tectonic scar, exposing what time could bury but never erase. The painting proposes that history is not a sequence of episodes. It is a sedimentation of human impulses. Holzer

It reveals an archaeological landscape where every fracture preserves traces of civilizations, desires, and collapse. The embedded figures, abandoned structures, and eroded voids are not separate narratives. They are simultaneous deposits of the same enduring impulse: the relentless desire to possess more Within Stratigraphic Expressionism, consciousness is not erased by time. It becomes geological. Memory hardens into matter Emotion becomes sediment. Every generation leaves another layer, preserving both its achievements and its failures Pleonexía survives not because it triumphs, but because it endures. Like a dark mineral vein, it continues to run through the geology of consciousness. Holzer
Can you put love into words? Do words have the power to capture its essence? These are the questions that have puzzled artists and philosophers for centuries. In this thought-provoking conversation, w

Yaya says, "It is impossible for anything to be not possible," and that's how it all started. Interesting. To me, it was, "We participate in the greatest mystery, and no one really knows what is going on, so my guess is as good as anyone else's". I think I'll be studying Yaya's writing for a while; there is a lot to unpack. Should I be concerned that it resonates so well?
Anyway, I look at some of my vector graphics here and experience dissonance. On one hand, I'd like to rework some of them, especially the one with the Yin Yang symbol. On the other hand, I'd like to quit all art activities related to computers. Why? AI makes human-made art, with all its imperfections, way more valuable. And value is the currency that helps me send messages to my future selves. Valuable things are cherished and passed from generation to generation, so I have a better chance of seeing them and recognizing them.
Whatever they say, AI has changed the game. I see the AI baroque era as good as this post. People are permanently hypnotized by elaborate designs; war is waged on those trying to refuse. Beautiful, magnificent BDSM world filled with wonders unimaginable. Where nobles are truly god-like, and peasants are stripped of their very personalities, not by force, but by manipulated choice. Manipulation so elaborate, it is not even noticeable. We are 1/3 of the way into it already. Oh well, I wanted cyberpunk after all. Whose fault is it that it turned out to be more engaging than expected? Wasn't it always the case with humanoid worlds?
P.S.
Remind MarMar to tell you about the horrible error of color theory that traps us into illusions.
Since the definition of art has evolved throughout the years, it has been said that its goals include representing reality, conveying thoughts or feelings, evoking a sense of beauty, examining the basis of perception, examining formal components for their own sake, or simply being nonexistent.
What Is Art? by Tolstoy offers a definition of what art is. He said that “Art is a human activity, consisting in this, that one person intentionally, by specific external signals, conveys to others feelings he has experienced, and other people are touched by these sentiments and live them over in themselves”.
For Pablo Picasso, "Art is a lie that makes us realize the truth, at least the truth that is given to us to understand". It means that the tangible reality in which artists and their audiences both reside can be changed through the creative process, as can societal attitudes and sensitivities.
These and a variety of other things are what art is. Art has the ability to transcend a solipsistic perspective on life and to relate to the world and one another with greater integrity, curiosity, and wholeheartedness. Thus, it enriches our life in an unlimited number of ways.
