This beautiful witch here is my oc for my Blood of Zeus fic. The amazing @time_queenRyoko helped bring her appearance to life. Down below is her bio:

Family: Persephone and Hades (adoptive parents), Aphrodite (paternal grandmother), Triton (maternal grandfather), Demeter (adoptive grandmother), Aikaterine (daughter made from clay), Evandros (son from Apollo), Damianos (son from Hyacinthus), 4 unnamed children (sons and daughters from Apollo and Hyacinthus)

Love Interests: Apollo and Hyacinthus (it's a polycule, Apollo and Hyacinthus are a package deal I refuse to break them apart)

Today we celebrate the Virginmartyr Filothea of Argesh, Protectress of Romania. Saint Filothea’s mother died while she was still young and her father remarried. Filothea's stepmother proved to be a dishonourable woman, often punishing the young girl for her apparent disobedience when she would give their possessions away to the poor. Her father often reprimanded her as well for her spiritual life, but she continued to attend the divine services and to do good to others as her mother had taught her. The young Filothea excelled in virtue, prayer, and almsgiving. When her father worked in the fields, she was sent to take food to him. More than often, not all the food would reach her father as she would give much of it to the poor children begging in the streets. When her father complained to his wife about the minimal food she prepared for him, his wife responded that she sent him plenty of food, but rather that he should ask his daughter what she does with it. Out of spite, he decided to spy on the young Filothea. He witnessed her pious deeds of almsgiving, and in a frenzied rage, he drew his axe from his belt and hurled it at his unexpected daughter. This wound proved fatal and at 12 years of age, the young Virgin Martyr Filothea gave up her pure soul to the Lord. Filled with remorse for his deed, he tried to lift his daughter off the ground, but she became as heavy as a rock. Her father repented of his sin and confessed before the Archbishop of Trnovo who came with a procession to translate the holy relics to the cathedral but the body would not budge. Naming various places to the Saint, the Archbishop mentioned the Monastery in Argesh of Romania were they able to lift the body. Her holy relics were translated there and have been a source of countless miracles. Cyrene?! Philothei and Cyrene?! Lesbians? Lesbians on the island of lesbos? Kissing?

Not exactly lesbians, but yes, they are kissing. Apollo was not the only one who fell in love with Cyrene and had a relationship with her; Philothei also fell for her. Apollo introduced Cyrene to his other partners, which are Hyacinthus and Philothei, and Philothei had a whole ass bi panic right there. Of course, the polycule talked about this before taking another person as their lover and bringing them into their relationship; communication is the key to every relationship. So they've all taken other lovers, but they talked with each other first before pursuing them. If you are wondering if Cyrene will be her only girlfriend, she is not. I can confidently say this bc the people deserve to know, Philothei takes more women as lovers compared to men. She is a canon girlkisser. She has kissed Circe as well. No, I will not elaborate. I will answer that in the fic. But have fun with this information and keep wondering who she has been in a relationship with. Oh, I almost forgot, she has also taken in married couples as lovers, but they're still loyal, so Hera doesn't take offence to it. But yk, it would be an interesting debate if that counts as cheating or not. Let me know what you think

Philothei Fact

The gods had a whole ass custody battle over Philothei. If you read her bio, you'll know that Aphrodite is her grandma, Triton is her grandpa, and Hades and Persephone are parent figures. After knowing that Philothei survived, Aphrodite wanted to get custody of Philothei. That also brought Ares, Phobos and Deimos and the Erotes into the mix because what Aphrodite wants, Aphrodite gets. Also because they also just fell in love with her, she's the baby of the family now. Triton wanted his grandbaby as well and roped in Kymopoleia, Rhodes, Benthesikyme, Amphitrite and Poseidon as well. Poseidon saw how Philothei also had some feralness and wanted her to be with the rest of the sea gods. The argument "what belongs to the sea will always return to the sea" was used but Aphrodite also countered that argument with the fact that she was also born from the sea. Seafoam technically but semantics. Hades and Persephone brought in Demeter and multiple cthonic gods to back their claim custody over her, Hecate and Nyx especially. She was Hecate's student and Nyx just likes her for some reason. When Zeus was told to help them settle this, he had a bigger headache than the time Athena was born. Seeing as everyone kept fighting, he let Philothei come and go however she likes so everyone gets equal time with her

Thank you for asking, I've been dying to talk about her.

Okay so she definitely loves sweet foods as much as she loves savoury ones. She loves honey cakes, that's her top food that she shares with Hyacinthus since they became friends and lovers. She also likes to eat meat, goat meat seems to be her favorite and she also has quite the appetite. Don't let that tiny body fool you, she can eat a lot.

For the second question, she doesn't really have a dream date. Every moment she spends with Apollo and Hyacinthus is precious. But if she had to say, it would be a picnic in a field and then they lie on that grass field together and just talk. It's very fluffy and sweet.

I'd say her love language would be acts of service and physical touch. She's kind of touch-starved and definitely loves it when Apollo and Hyacinthus hold her hand and kiss her. She also likes to do nice things for them, not just them though, she's done things for her family and Cyrene. Especially Cyrene ;) (ask to find out why)

Well I haven't thought of a specific domain, but she does end up guiding the souls of children to the underworld. How she ends up doing that will be revealed in the story, but I can say that for every child that dies without proper burial, she gives them a burial so they do not need to suffer by not crossing the river Styx. I was debating if I want her to be the goddess of polyamouous love, since there are different love gods and she is in a polyamouous relationship why not that. Then I was thinking of her being the goddess of Aid, she's a really helpful person before becoming a goddess and she still is as a goddess. But I'm not really sure yet. I was also thinking of a domain surrounding rage or madness aka insanity, that will be explained in the story btw.

She would definitely love shoujou anime. Because she loves the art and the great character writing that female characters have in that genre. And yes, she is a Sailor Moon fan. She loves sitcoms, especially Brooklyn 99. Definitely watches The Owl House. She is a witch girlie and will always be a witch girlie.

I'd say Sparta because that's where she met Hyacinthus. That's all I can say without spoilering too much.

Best friends? Artemis (she flipped when she found out Apollo slept with her), Ariadne, Circe (they gossip), and Dionysus (they both like to gossip and have lunch together). Now for worst enemies there aren't much, except for that bitch Zephyrus. She has never hated anyone as much as she hates Zephyrus. There's also two more but that would be giving spoilers.

Now for something that you should know is that, almost everyone, that includes the gods, loves her. I'm not kidding, she has Hera liking her. Which makes every Olympian do a double take bc what do you mean the Queen of the Gods loves the girl whose lover is one of the bastard children she hates. Other than that, she's like the personification of dark beauty.

Sneak Peek

The next day, the sun rose up. The warm rays of Helios's light still touched the mortals. But it was not Apollo who pulled the sun. For he lay in his bed with a broken heart. Unable to do his duty for he does not see the purpose in doing so now that both of his loves are dead. Why should he raise the sun, when his beloved prince and beloved witch will not bask in it's light? No one on Olympus was able to bring him out. Not Leto, the mother who cared for him since he was a babe. Not Hermes, the brother who stole his cattles and a place in his heart. Not Artemis, the sister who pulled him from their mother's womb and understood him better than any of the other gods. How could he get up when he shall never hear Hyacinthus laughter again? Philothei's gentle voice? The loving looks Hyacinthus gave him? The kind smile Philothei gave to him even when he teased her to no end? It all seemed pointless to him, when he can no longer share moments with them.

Today we celebrate the Venerable Martyr Philothei of Athens. Saint Philothei lived during the Turkish Occupation of Greece. Growing up in a pious and wealthy family, she was married off at the age of 12 to a man who later proved to be an abusive husband. After three years, Philothei’s husband died and she devoted herself to fasting, vigil and prayer and built a monastery with her inheritance. She later became a nun in that monastery. Having lived a life of serving others, especially destitute women, she was brutally attacked by a violent mob of Turks who left her half conscious and bleeding on the ground. The Venerable Philothei soon gave up her soul to the Lord.
