I know its TRR week, but I’m incredibly, immensely proud of this one.. I loved the drama and the imagery of the kissing scene between Kamilah and the MC, but the highlight for me was the comparison to the sun (“like kissing the sun”).
I have always associated Kamilah with sun symbolism - after all, she hails from ancient Egypt, a land where the sun was revered and worshipped. I called my MC “Phoebe” in contrast: I wanted to give my MC a moon name early on, and settled on Phoebe (which is not only a moon of Saturn’s but also another name often attributed to Artemis, the goddess of the moon and of hunting). So of course I was going to use sun/moon imagery to describe their first kiss!!
This is one of those moodboards I thoroughly enjoyed making, and I hope you like it as much as I do😊
MC Headcanon Questionnaire: Phoebe (BB)
For MC Appreciation Week, I'm doing this questionnaire for my MCs from RCD and BB. I did one for my TRR MC Esther here, and my RCD MCs Sophie (here) and Astrid (here)! My BB MC doesn't have as strong a background history yet, but I find her so compelling I decided to do one on her anyway.

Height: 5 ft 7 inches

Family Background: TBD. For now, all I've got is that Phoebe is from a small town and a loving family, they had horses (she mentions riding a pony) and she probably came to New York to study and then stayed for work.
Education: A Bachelor in Communications, followed by an internship at Mannon Financial. In my headcanon, though, she also has done a summer course at some point on Ancient Egyptian history, and shows interest in other Classical cultures as well.
Best Childhood Memory: Riding her pony in a flower-studded field.
Favorite Color: Yellow and Gold.
Favorite Season: Winter. She's a night owl, and the nights are longer during winter.
Cat or Dog: Neither.
Chocolate or Vanilla: Chocolate on its own, and she loves when her wine has notes of vanilla.
Sweet or Spicy: Sour, actually. She loves anything that tastes a little more tart than usual.

What Initially Attracted Them to Their Partner?: Her eyes. You couldn't ignore or avoid them. They'd either pierce right through you or suck you in.
How Do They Express Affection (are they a hugger? More private?): This is something I'm still trying to figure out as of now.
Do they Have/Want Children? How Many?: She hasn't thought on those lines yet, and I doubt she'll be thinking about it much in the future.
Any Pets?: Not yet.
Do They Have a Temper?: Yes, as Lester Castellanos would learn the first time they met.
Hobbies?: Wine tasting, binge-watching horror films and anything related with ancient Egypt.
Do They Hold Grudges?: I'm not sure yet.
Do They Exercise?: No.
One Random Headcanon: The day a History teacher showed the class a picture of a gold scarab, Phoebe knew she wanted to find out everything she could about it. That's why she took up that summer course years later. She didn't think much about the scarab afterwards, until she met Kamilah.
