Storm and Jean
Amidst all the stuff I was doing, I revisited my X-Men setting and I always love revisiting that. The first two true Omega-Level Mutants known and quantified.
Ororo Munroe’s control over weather is greater than most suspect, and when she truly uses the full extent of her abilities she can *change coastlines* permanently within’ hours. She does not do this often. And she does not do it lightly. I also have my own take on her appearance, as I always do, but my personal idea for her eyes is that her eyes are blue- when the sky is clear. And they are grey when it rains. And flaming red or soft violet at dawn or dusk. Black, speckled with stars, in the middle of the night. And when lightening flashes, so do her eyes. She *is* the sky and the weather.
Jean Grey should be a powerful psychic. That should be it. She should be capable of incredible feats beyond human capacity, yes, but that should have been all- were it not for the paracausal nature of the Phoenix. Death, Life, Birth, Jean is the source and the victim of the Phoenix, as it tears through reality again and again in a loop through time, space, and Jean’s mind. If she is lucky, she will learn to reign this energy in, control it, channel it, become it’s master. If she falters, it will burn her out and use what’s left for it’s own devices.
wait jean where are your pants
Dark Phoenix was one of the earlier panel picture I drew about 6 years ago now, so I figured she needed an update since my style has changed a bit. I liked the pose, so I redrew her in an identical position. Art AND colors by me this time. Like my art? Follow me on Instagram! I need more followers to help me get into more comic conventions. Yes, they look at that, so if you like my art, help me out and follow me at www.instagram.com/richbernatov… Dark Phoenix (c) Marvel Comics

Someone send this to Stephanie Phillips, referring to Jean as Nathan's stepmother is incredibly reductive of their relationship. Hell, Cable himself referred to Jean as his mother as recently as Timeslide. Jean and Maddie can both be his mothers, X-Men is about found family!
Stephanie Phillips strikes again
Binary faces threats from all angles - Revelation's world, the people she's trying desperately to keep safe, and now, a face from the past.
I can’t wait for this stupid event to be over with.
