I honestly hate it when I'm watching something engaging with someone, especially someone I like and wanted to share this with, and they're scrolling on their phone the whole time instead of just watching the show/movie/YouTube video. Because for me, the point of watching something with another person is about sharing an experience together. If they're playing on their phone, we're not sharing the experience. They might miss whatever cool thing was just shown, or interaction the characters had, etc, and we won't be able to talk about it. It's deeply frustrating.
(Don't @ me about ADHD; I have it and yes it can make it hard to focus on just a video and yes I do have a mindless game I sometimes play while watching things on my own but I think it's important to prioritize sharing an experience with people I care for so I'm not on my phone while with them also the person I'm complaining about right now doesn't have ADHD).

I do this on the regular...
I wonder how many miles I've scrolled on my phone
