Hii! Can you help me identify this fuzzy cinnamon caterpillar I saw? Closest guess I could find is a garden tiger moth but I'm not super sure. Seen in the east of Ireland in january!
Caterpillar in Ireland
This looks like the caterpillar of the Ruby Tiger Moth (Phragmatobia fuliginosa), family Erebidae. If not this exact species, its most likely in this genus.

Is National Moth Week over already?? Yep, over and DONE. Thank goodness, I’ve been hoarding beetle photos :-).

I set up special lights all over my yard to attract insects, but it was at my plain old front porch light where I discovered this ruby tiger moth (Phragmatobia fuliginosa) last night.

Ruby Tiger in English, Zimtbär (cinnamon bear) in German. I love that name.

Gorgeous Ruby Tiger Moth (Phragmatobia fuliginosa) at the Sibley Farm Moth Blitz this weekend. I bumped up the fill light a bit on this one so I could see as much of that ruby color as possible!
Thanks to Paul John for the id.
