Pook at Paglikha: Philippine science fiction & fantasy (and everything in between)
The anthology seeks works which examine, interrogate, and aim to reconstruct the present conditions of society. We are looking for non-realist works that maximize the potential of fiction to imagine different realities while confronting present social inequalities and injustices.
Submission guidelines: 1. Writers may send unpublished works in any Philippine language or English. 2. Writers may submit short stories, prose poems, comics, or any other work which they feel is in line with the project of this anthology. 3. Works must be between 500 to 20,000 words except for comics, which must be 5 to 10 pages, 6in x 9in, 300 dpi, black and white. 4. Works must have elements which deal directly with present Philippine social realities. 5. Email your work to [email protected]. Include your byline, title of work, a short bio, and contact details in the body of your email. The subject should be ‘Language_Genre_LastName’. 6. Attach your work as docx, doc, or rtf. Pdf for special formatting only. Do not indicate your name in the file. 7. Writers may submit up to two (2) works.
The deadline for submissions is on December 31, 2017, 11:59 PM. New and unpublished writers are highly encouraged to submit.
