Sometimes, when you're doing a murder sentencing, the dead person's adult son goes from mad dogging your client to cussing him out to trying to physically go through you to attack your shackled client.

And then nobody arrests the motherfucker in spite of the fact that this is all happened in front of at least one deputy, several COs, two judges (one is in training and shadowing the other), a DA, and the fucking media.

He and the rest of his family just get kicked out of the courthouse, the DA makes a fuss about how traumatizing everything was for her, and the hearing proceeds without anybody asking how you and your client are. Not even the judges who used to work with you when they were public defenders.

I work in a university hospital, and security was off the charts today. I had to convince no less than three security guards that I actually worked in the clinical simulation center. Then, after a long day of intense medical simulations, what happens as I’m leaving the hospital?

I get in a car accident.

so, anyway, I had to go to the er last night, and when the receptionist asked me for my id and insurance card I, light-headed and slightly nauseated, fucking pulled out my minhyuk photo card and handed it to her. if I were not in a mild state of distress I would have walked myself right out the door and to the next nearest hospital
