A Touch Of Care
On 8th September 2020 the Department of Allied Health Sciences, Brainware University celebrated The World Physiotherapy Day to honour the contributions of healthcare heroes who make it possible for us to be independent and mobile. As the world is battling the pandemic, it is physiotherapists along with other healthcare professionals who are ensuring that the patients gain complete mobility once they recover. The standard of care shown by physiotherapists is a great motivation for our Bachelor of Physiotherapy students. One day soon, they too shall wear the badge of honour. To help them on their journey, our guest experts Dr. Arghyarupa Basu(PT), Dr. Avijan Sinha(PT), and Dr. Satyen Bhattacharya (PT) discussed a variety of topics including the theme of this year’s World Physiotherapy Day which is centered on the contribution of physiotherapists in battling COVID-19. The students enjoyed learning about the future prospects of the field along with various emerging specialisations. This program gave us a unique chance to look back and express our gratitude as we move along and hope to do better. Let us all pay our respects to physiotherapists by lending a healing touch to the ones in need.
