Pretty in Pink || Skye & Alicia
@crystalball-predictions
Skye likes black perhaps a little more than most, but even by his own standard, the Sorcery Emporium lacks colour. The moment you walk in, the permeating atmosphere of magic and wizardry seems to suppress everything else. There’s no substance, no texture. It has a theme, but only if that theme is let’s get edgy and tell our parents this isn’t a phase.
He can fix that.
It took a few shopping trips, but sooner or later, Skye had amassed a small collection of stuffed animals in bright hues and pastels. The weird ones seemed to speak to him on a level that surpassed natural affection, and the moments of peace he had before Alicia came around gave him time to adorn them lovingly among the shelves.
His particular favourite-- a pastel pink elephant with an overly long nose he’d lovingly named Mister Cupcake-- gets a front row seat at the cashier’s table where he spends most of his time. Mister Cupcake’s friends will have to watch and writhe with agony in knowing they’ll never attain his place in Skye’s personal hierarchy, forced to look down from the shelves as he makes it all too apparent Cupcake is his number one.
Maybe he got a little too carried away.
Alicia won’t be thrilled with this development, but he’s prepared for a debacle about his use of stuffies if that’s what it takes to keep Mister Cupcake in his possession. Elbows poised on the counter and hands folded as if awaiting confrontation, his smile is a little too cat-like as he waits for the front door to open. It’s not a lot of animals, but it’s a few, and he’s prepared to bicker about every single one.
