@pianistxt liked this {x} for a starter!!
She didn’t believe in ghosts. She didn’t believe in the impossible either, for that matter. Of course, the latter continued to prove itself. After everything that happened in the academy, she supposed that the impossible was possible. Maki was positive that a certain astronaut meant those words in reference to overcoming seemingly impossible tasks. He had kept freaking out about Monokuma’s alleged resurrection ritual too. She was certain he wasn’t thinking about something like this.
As the Ultimate Assassin, she knew death better than most. A fact she still detested, but elected to ignore for the time. Moreover, she knew there was no logical reason for the other girl to be alive. No one could have survived trauma to that level, yet... She was alive and breathing.
“...Akamatsu?”
They hadn’t gotten along, before the pianist’s death. As far as Maki knew, the other girl didn’t know about her true talent. Let alone any of the other things. But moreover, they hadn’t particularly gotten along, had they? Maki was quick to criticism her. Her positivity and her determination. It was completely different from her view of the worlds. Of course, things had changed. Maki had changed. She hadn’t quite decided how to feel about seeing Kaede, but... she supposed she could try.
“You’re... uhm...” Alive.
An awkward pause.
“...It’s good to see you.”
