Mod Theo thoughts: This is a fic I go back to over and over again just for how sweet it is. This story is part of a larger series (that I'm sure we’ll talk about at some point), but this one-shot depicting a Valentine’s Day night gone wrong and then very right between our two favorite boys is just so lovely. I love how the author manages to write a sex scene that feels honest and validating of the complexities of gender and bodies, while also being super hawt. Explicit consent? Clear discussion of feelings and needs? Trans representation? This fic has EVERYTHING! In addition, we love how many of this author’s fics have been turned into podfics, perfect for our friends who prefer/need to listen to stories rather than read them! Go check this one out.

Fanfic Writer Appreciation Week
DAY 4: @picascribit
Pica is the sort of powerhouse every fandom needs. They are a very well rounded writer: they write lots of different fics, lots of different era’s, and lots of different themes. Their work is very well thought out (for example, Discards had loads of book recs tucked away in the story, and the notes at the end always included links to articles on facts and issues that were relevant to the story -how amazing is that?!) and the character development in them is truly wonderful to witness. Some of Pica’s work tends to be on the angstier side for me, because I am truly the kind of escapist who happily vacationes in the most positive AU I can find, but the upside to that is that their characters have amazing strength and complexity. Pica writes the kind of fics that truly leave me satisfied and happy in the end. Something else I really admire about them is how they always try to improve themselves as a writer and a person, going as far as rewriting loadsssss of older works bc they learned so much in the meantime! Also, they podfic all their stuff, which is so much effort and just wonderful.
Pica, you’re truly someone to look up to and I am very thankful for your stories and your presence in fandom. I have included a picture of the time I met James Potter and he was Not Impressed below. <3
Sooooo I woke up and spontaneously wrote a short, slightly early birthday present for @picascribit, called Ring the Bells That Still Can Ring. It’s a sequel to the fic I wrote for their birthday in 2014 called The Future.

Remus and Sirius are attending GeekGirlCon in Seattle, Washington and looking to reconnect with a certain fanfiction author.
The old fic needs an edit but basically Remus and Sirius were *mysteriously* plucked out of canon and placed into the real world (specifically Seattle.) In this second installment, will Remus and Sirius get one step closer to discovering how they ended up in our world??? Will they have a good time at GeekGirlCon??? Will Remus look handsome in his Robin Hood cosplay???
So many questions for such a short fic.

Comment:
This is one of my all-time favorite wolfstar fics so I just had to make a post about it even though it's quite popular and not really new to anyone probably. It's such a beautiful modern AU, I love everything about it, there's a good amount of angst and pining and a lot of cute scenes and strong chosen family vibes.
