*pops up* this is also probably because we have terrible public transportation in general so driving is kind of really important. *slides back down to where i belong*

You’re totally right! Especially if you live in a smaller town or outside of the city there’s next to no public transportation available so you have no choice but to drive everywhere you need to go. I didn’t even think of that, but it’s so true!

Nope, doesn’t happen in the books. In the books, Alaric is younger (ie. not a father figure for Elena), and he’s with Meredith Sulez. 

A lot of the folks speculating it are Bonnie fans!! It’s this weird, masochistic fascination like: here is the worst thing possible, now imagine it happening! lol

Ah! This silly bit of fluff was inspired by one of the lovely swingsetindecember ‘s prompts. Something nobody knows is that I did quite a bit of research on what EPIC kind of Lego things Derek should be building in his shop, because I wanted pictures! Also glorious descriptions of everything! (In the end I think I went with some references from Star Wars, Firefly, Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings. 

BUT WHILE I WAS GOOGLING, I found this awesome black Lego Camaro? (It’s a Knight Rider, but shh). But I couldn’t figure out how to work it into the story. Maybe in a sequel Stiles builds it and gives it to Derek as a present or something.

after my dad found out about my mom's affair, i had to be in a car with him for 4 hrs and the entire time he cried while playing 'youve lost that lovin feelin' on repeat. THE ENTIRE TIME. i hope your journey goes better than that.

ooooh my god, that sounds horrendous and awkward. most car rides with my dad generally consist of uncomfortable silence occasionally filled with small chat that usually ends in either an argument or general verbal sparring. we are two people that should never be confined in a car together for ANY period of time, and yet here we are.

right? i'm so irritated by all the conflict this season because it's 100% not natural or real at all????

it makes literally no sense and i hate it.
