Nero as in the roman emperor and Sergei from the classical composer

I always feel a little weird using six letter surnames for the kids since Egbert and Harley are outliers, and Sergei is more a first name than a surname, so how about… Rachman instead? Nero Rachman could work. 

Or you could use some old Roman composer names, like Allegri, Soriano, Stabile… Any of the above will work!

Symbol + meaning: it’s the ‘kilroy was here’ tag that appeared a lot in WWII

HHM. That’s an interesting symbol for sure! The symbol also came up previously in WWI, neat human trends.  

Discord: teutonic-night

Quirk: he uses pretty good punctuation and grammar but it tends to become pretty bad when he’s excited. He also has the tendency to jokingly use ‘Ye Olde English’ from time to time.

Since his themes seem to largely lean on Roman/Emperors/Etc. with little touches of middle ages and 1940s, you should also have him sprinkle in some archaic slang and some Latin Proverbs.

Guardian: He lives with his aunt but she’s a very busy business woman so she’s not around much.

I feel like given that he’s named Nero, you Have to bring in an Agrippina Minor and Emperor Nero dynamic here. Which is to say very controlling and dominating maternal figure. 

Personality: A pretty laid back dude who tends to be a little exposition-heavy when he talks about his interests. He’s extremely fond of ancient and medieval history and is fairly tech-savvy. I’d describe his way of explaining history as a mix between Drunk History and a sleep-deprived college student’s essay. He makes a hobby of making remixes of classical music and composes some classical-type pieces of his own. He’s a generally cheerful person but can be a bit overbearing and pushes his interests onto people without realising it. He has a bit of a hard time making friends because of this but will listen if you tell him to stop. He’s also pretty involved in his friend’s interests and likes to try them out for himself for a short while.

I like that a lot! 

Interests: composing, old religion, eurobeat, remixing, the roman empire, holy rome, old wars, ancient history.

Title: considering he’s the last kid left he’s gonna have to be a time aspect but there’s a few titles that I think suit him.

Time definitely suits him! Especially if you think about putting in that controlling parent vibe, because then you could play with him trying to fight back instead of passively accepting things. 

I thiiink Mage of Time is probably what’s going to end up working best for him. Though teaching him to be a little more selfish with Thief of Time could end up being fun. 

Land: Land of Emperors and Loss

I think this might be a little too blatant and I want to recommend… the Land of Gold and Clay. Which is, of course, a reference to Daniel 2, where Daniel interprets a dream about a statue with a head of gold, a torso of silver, legs of copper, and feet of iron and clay, and how it represents 4 successive kingdoms. Your planet’s quest could involve the repeated collapse and rebuilding of empires and dear Nero has to step in to save the consorts.

Just a few quality of life edits here! I made the hair lines a little thicker to make them read better, moved facebits around for proportion correction, fixed up the shoe outlines, and then made kilroy a bit bigger and gave him outlines and white highlights to fit the usual kiddo sprite style!

I wanted him to have a sort of regal sounding name due to him being pretty wealthy

Rich names are fun and you don’t get more noble than being named Duke. …The only other name I could recommend is Eevi, because it means Rich Friend basically which is what he is and that’s funny, but that’s just something to consider. 

Age: 16 (soon turning 17)

I love the haircurler thing because there’s so much you could do with a haircurler, but I also almost think he could use something more mom-friendy. You know how mom friends are just always prepared? Just have tons of stuff in their tote bag all the time? Like, bandages. Bandagekind… Wrap your enemy up. I think haircurlerkind is great, but you could add something like that on!

Symbol + meaning: it’s a knockoff of the character kiiroitori. He saw it and thought it was funny so he bought it.

That IS hilarious. I might look up some actual kiiroitori knockoffs to fiddle with this.

Oh no he cares about Myers Briggs. That’s relatable, little man. I do think you need to include his like, anime interest here since you’re very adamant about how much he enjoys it.  How about enfjewelpet? Jewelpet being a media/toy joint venture between Sanrio and Sega Toys. Jewelpet has tons of merchandise, so you can put fun stuff on lots of things he owns. 

Quirk: He types in usually good grammar but messes up now and then.

guardian: he lives with both parents but his father isn’t around much

Personality: The most polite weeaboo you’ll ever meet. Also the token mom friend. He has a very comforting aura and is always on call to help his friends. In fact as Krya’s best friend (*cough* moIRaIL*cough*) he usually helps her understand most things. He’s also not afraid to scold his friends when they do stupid things, and usually takes charge of situations. Back on the topic of him being a weeb, he adores cutesy slice of life anime/manga and like ¾ths of his room is anime merch. He has posters, collectibles, books, plushies, name it he has it. He’s also a total roleplayer and occasionally LARPS. His father is the CEO of a huge cosmetics company so he has quite a bit of knowledge on makeup and uses it quite a lot. Due to his family being wealthy he’s had to attend a few banquets and such, despite his hate for them. He doesn’t really care about what most people think of him but he’s trying his best to impress his father.

I’d just like to gently point out that weeaboo is generally considered an inherently Impolite thing to be. Weeaboo is a derogatory term used to refer to someone who is obsessed with/who fetishizes Japanese culture. You can appreciate anime/manga etc without being “a weebaoo.” Sorry for the ramble, that’s just a conversational bit I’ve seen quite a lot of over the years so I wanted to make sure you were Aware. 

Anyways I do love all of that. The mom friend, etc. I think you definitely want to make sure to tie in ENFJ personality traits, though, since you put that in his username! So he should be charismatic, a good talker, a natural leader, etc. I think one of my favorite things I’ve ever heard of in ENFJ’s is “Emotional Hypochrondia.” Basically, if they see someone else having a problem, they start worrying that they Also have the problem. Like, he could try to help someone stop being irresponsible and suddenly be like Oh No, What if I’M irresponsible, and start trying to fix a problem in himself that doesn’t Really exist. 

Actually part of what I want to talk about here is his choice to wear that knockoff symbol. Maybe that’s something you could incorporate into his personality, too! Maybe he isn’t so fond of the big brands because of how he’s seen his father work in business in general and he wants like, more creative exploration. Less valuing of particular brands. He definitely seems to value creativity, so I can see it!

Interests: He has quite a large collection of Re-Ment collectables, and has taken up an interest in chemistry thanks to Krya.

Make sure that under interests you remember to list stuff you’ve put up int here in personality- he likes Anime and manga, he likes collecting things, he likes plushies, he likes makeup, he likes roleplay. Maybe he could combine his interest in chemistry with makeup and do cosmetic chemistry? 

Heck, maybe he can be a real big DIY guy, the kind of person who likes to show people creative and fun ways to make their own cute lip balms. 

Title: I’m thinking page, not sure what of thought

Page of Void, mayhaps? Or of Breath… wait, yeah, breath. He’s someone who’s kind of tied down. He has these responsibilities, these things he has to do, and he’s Surrounded by these images of and this desire for creative expression but he’s also sort of bound to the desire to impress his father, chained down metaphorically by his blood bonds… So he’s gotta learn to exploit his own freedom! 

Land: Land Of Bonds and Brands

Dream planet: Derse

Design: 

Face: Okay, so his eyes looked a little lopsided so I did some editing to them to balance the pupils out. Also, you say he uses makeup but you didn’t actually Put that on him, so I added some in that nice bright pink since I chose to keep that as his prominent color. 

Shirt/shoes: As I usually do with these edits, I moved things to their usual black&white outlines. On the shirt that pink was so eye-catching that you couldn’t concentrate on any other element of his design, and on his shoes the light grey just blended in too well with the pants outline color and looked muddy. The extra Contrast was needed. 

Symbol: So kid’s symbols generally need to be black, white, and the accent color. So I put a black outline around the kiiroitori and changed the bird white. I then gave the bird a pink beak with Nostrils, because I saw that a lot in kiiroitori knockoffs. Kiiroitori knockoffs also tended to have blush, tended to hold hearts, and often had really badly drawn feet. So I added all of the above to the knockoff kiiroitori!

Name: Emil Cheong

No real reason other than I wanted to get a name for both of his heritages

A lot of the kid’s names don’t Really have deeper meanings anyways. This is a pretty nondescript name and I feel like Emil’s not a very out-there character, so it’s fitting. 

Age: 15

Strife specibus: Needlekind (sewing)

Fetch modus: Jar modus

He has a jar with miniature versions of items and he has to grab the one he wants in a certain timeframe (it changes depending on the size of the object)

The timeframe thing is a little confusing to me… Is he just struggling to dig through the collection of items? Because it seems like that’d be pretty easy if he was only holding a few things. Maybe you could make it a jar of marbles? And each item gets a unique marble, but he’s got to remember Which Is Which.

Symbol + meaning: two buttons relating back to his button collection

Just two buttons feels a little sparse to me, so I think I might want to try to do something more complex that incorporates buttons? …Stuffed animals often have button eyes, so doing an animal character with button eyes isn’t a stretch. Maybe I could do a fictionalized version of Kakaotalk’s Ryan character? 

Kakaotalk is a pretty popular chat app in Korea, and Ryan’s character is described as seeming serious/grumpy, but just being misunderstood, so I think that’s justification enough for Emil to own a shirt of him. 

Discord: Pushing-Buttons

How about Shutter-Buttons instead. It’s a reference to his photography interest and his button collection!

Quirk: since English is anything but his first language he has poor grammar and frequently misspelled things

Now… ESL Korean people Do exist in actuality, so I’m not going to say you shouldn’t do this, but I do want you to rethink for a moment your motivations for making this character have “poor grammar and frequent misspellings.” Asian characters being portrayed as having poor grammar is a stereotype that gets portrayed Ridiculously, Unfairly often. If this character were French, or Spanish, would you be noting this as part of the character typing quirk? 

English is taught in schools in Korea and your character has the additional benefit of presumably talking to first-language English speakers online, meaning he has both educational and practical experience with casual English conversation, so you have justification for having him at least reasonably good at English. 

I think you can definitely still do this, because grammatical and spelling errors do happen with second languages, but you should be careful and you should look into the linguistic quirks of Korean so that you can understand what grammatical errors happen and why so that you can portray them accurately and not just make random nonsensical mistakes.

Guardian: He lives with his father but visits his mother every 6 months

Personality: another salty character. He’s really sour about most things and isn’t really open for negotiation. He’s a little kinder to his friends but not all that much, the only people he really tries to be nice to are his parents. He lives in Korea with his dad and visits his mother in iceland sometimes. This is partially the reason behind his saltiness. He has a habit of collecting things and gets very protective over them. His most prized possession is a button his mother gave him and he keeps it with him at all times. He’s quite smart but it doesn’t show much.

I like that a lot. Did he start his button collection because of his mom giving him the button? I think you could probably beef up his personality a little more, but I don’t know what recommendations to make because his theme is nice but not Extremely detailed. …But here are some ideas for personality traits. 

Interests: like I said he collects buttons, but he also has a large marble collection he’s proud of. He has a little interest in photography too.

Since he likes doing hobbyist stuff like collecting buttons and marbles, maybe he could like older methods of photography? Like using polaroids and collecting those polaroids, could be fun! 

Title: I feel like something with void or mind

I kind of like Seer of Void for him, maybe! Knower of the unknown just feels appropriate for someone who can see the value in little collectibles like buttons and marbles.

Land: Land of Hoards And Distance

Dream planet: Derse

Design:

Hair: The hair looked just a liiittle too stereotypical. For his whole look, I looked up some Korean fashion magazines and current Korean styles and compared a lot of stuff to try to figure out where to take this. It seems like this hairstyle is at least pretty popular for Korean teenage boys right now, so I went with it. 

Outfit: So I noticed that black and white looks with a small number of stripes were pretty popular in fashion magazines at least and I thought it worked well with the Homestuck style, so I gave him a shirt with a visible black neckline and a black stripe, then edited his shorts to have a white stripe at the bottom. I changed his shoes just a little to give a bit more detail. 

Symbol: I made a Ryan-like symbol with the hoodie so that I could put his blue accent color in the symbol. It also has button eyes- maybe he sewed the buttons on himself! His own added touch to this lion shirt. 

I like this boy and I hope my recommendations help.

Name: Seleno Harrow

Seleno is taken from selenography, which is a reference to the myth of the rabbit in the moon. Harrow is a piece of farming equipment.

Age: 6.5 sweeps (roughly 14 years)

Strife specibus: Im having trouble choosing between shovelkind and scythekind

 Hmm… I think shovelkind. I adore scythes as weaponry as much as the next person, possibly more, but the rumors of their weaponry usage are greatly exaggerated, and I feel like a Strong Girl would have more fun walloping someone with a shovel anyways.

Fetch modus: crop modus

Items are divided into rows, but only the same item can be in the row. I also think that if she leaves something in a slot for too long when she takes it out it might glitch and duplicate.

 I think that’s definitely a good modus for her theme! 

Blood colour: cinnamon

 So if I’m right that means her blood color was lightened?

Symbol + meaning: Its the Lepus constellation

Very bunny themed girl, I like that.

Discord: MooBeastGirl

Is this a cowgirl joke. I do like it. Another option I thought up is UntameableSol, as a joke about her ability to take animals, how Tough she is, and also a farming reference. The sun on Alternia at least is quite literally untameable, so utilizing it in any way is already an impressive feat. 

FriendWrangler could also be a funny one, since you reference her keeping her moirail out of trouble, and the fact that she’s a herder of animals she gets along with.

Quirk: It’s a pretty simple quirk, she just puts a = next to her Os, she might use a bit of slang from time to time but that’s it.

Special abilities (if any): This girl is a borderline animal goddess. She can command almost anything and the animal will follow through. I also feel like she would have pretty good luck (mostly a reference to the rabbit foot = good luck speculation)

Hmmm… I think you’d have to make her a light player if you wanted to justify the good luck thing as like an Actual Thing She Has Going On without moving her to olive. Otherwise you can just say she’s just got some okay luck, as some fortunate people do, no special abilities involved.

Lusus: Im thinking something sort of like a bunny-cow? I’m not quite sure.

You talk about about maybe wanting her to herd lusii, so maybe you should go with a herding animal along with bunny? Like a Sheepdog Rabbit hybrid. It works well with Lepus, since Lepus is supposed to be chased across the sky by Canis Major and Canis Minor.

Personality: She owns a farm and is very proud of that fact, she has a lot of confidence and is pretty friendly. She’s easily approachable and I feel she might be pretty sought after for a moirail. She has an excellent relationship with her moirail and helps to keep him out of trouble. She’s really tiny but is way stronger than she looks and likes surprising people with that fact (It’s not blueblood strong but i’ll be damned if she doesn’t have abs). She makes friends easily and is pretty kind overall.

I love her. You might want to carry the brownblood stubbornness in here a little too, especially because it’s so emblematic of farm life. Headstrong, but also composed. She’s persistent and is gonna get her shit done. Since you want her as a life player, maybe someone who’s no-nonsense, too. If someone’s bein’ a fool, she’s gonna step in. 

Interests: Farming for sure. I want to dabble in with whether she herds lusii or something like that but i’m not really sure. She goes to parties sometimes with her moirail.

She could definitely be someone who herds a few species of lusii? Maybe she helps to raise the ones that are relatively passive. And then is responsible for shipping them out to brooding caverns to pick their grubs. Maybe you should give her an interest in like, solar power or light filtration, too. I’m sure she has to set systems up so her plants get optimal sunlight without frying, if she farms! And you could give her a mild interest in chemistry because of soil composition and stuff like that…

Title: Im not sure. I want it to be life aspect but im really not sure.

She seems like someone who’s already pretty self-actualized, so maybe a Sylph of Life?

Land: Land of Beasts and Bets

How about the Land of Beasts and Barrens? Empty lands that are filled with terrifying creatures. She has to wrangle and lead them in order to somehow restore and repurpose the desolate lands.

Dream planet: Derse

She really doesn’t seem particular dissatisfied, interested in opposing destiny, rebellious, or wrapped up in her own mind tbh! I think she’s another prospit-leaner. 

Design time!:

Horns: I wanted to make them look more like wabbit ears, so I did. The sharp cutoff just didn’t look right in troll horns. 

Hat: I wanted to make it a bit more like a frayed wicker farmer’s hat. I changed the color to her blood color (which I also changed but we’ll get there). I also adjusted the face to make it more obviously a rabbit’s. 

Eyes: I needed to add a minor eyelash detail. I also made the bags a little more obvious.

Mouth: I wanted to emphasize that mild rabbit cleft, so I gave her slightly more defined lips. 

Jacket: I decided I wanted to add the kind of duster that you would see a rancher wearing. If she’s gonna be working with lusii, she should probably be dressed for the job! 

Shirt: I made it white, because the cream just felt off. I made it button-down, too. Just to feel more farmer-y. 

Symbol/blood: I lowered her blood color a little. While the cinnamon you provided was definitely decidedly of a lighter value than bronze, it wasn’t distinct enough. I moved it up to #ae5c2b. 

Belt/pants: I made the beltline black and added some clasp detail in grey. I also adjusted the outline on her pants and lightened it a little. 

Shoes: I gave her brown cowboy boots. I also gave her the white fluffy leg covering you often see shepherds from the slavic area wear!

Name: Duch Graven

There really wasn’t any reason for the first name other than i wanted a sorta fancy name. For the surname i wanted something that gave of a bit of a haunted or ghostly vibe.

Hmm. How about Eloi Ruthven? Eloi are a race of people in an H.G. Wells’ book who live a Banal Life of ease, and it sounds like the sort of unique name a rich person would give their kid. It also means The Chosen. Ruthven is a vampire from an 1816 story. 

Age: 15

Strife specibus: gunkind. You’d expect it to be something really cool but no it’s just a nerf gun with some really stupid modifications she made to catch ghosts or something.

 That’s adorable. Does it LOOK like it’d be intimidating and cool? But then it just shoots air darts. Oh, oh, ohh!! You could also use a salt gun instead. 

Because salt is great for ghost fun.

Fetch modus: Cryptid modus. It brings up either silhouettes or really blurred images  of items around her and she has to choose what the thing she wants is out of them.

 Yes….. good.

Symbol + meaning: it’s just a poorly made illuminati symbol she printed onto her poncho.

Guardian: she lives in a penthouse with her older brother, who i can only describe as a surfer bro-dude

 Is he supportive of her endeavors? I sure hope so. 

Personality: Paranormal investigator/conspiracy theorist. She’s not the type of theorist that goes ‘what if we live on the moon’ she’s the type of theorist that goes ‘THE MOON IS A FARCE’. She’s a very hyper and expressive girl who spends a lot of her time checking over and refining her theories. She’s always eager to share her insane theories and is constantly pushing them onto her friends. She can almost be described as a chuunibyou type character.

Interests: like i said she loves theorising. She is almost constantly being found putting theories together or trying to catch glimpses of ghosts or other cryptids.

 I hope she has a minor interest in filmography and photography because of this. Likes setting up automatic rigs. She could like those paranormal investigation shows, too, but be convinced most of them are FAKE. Meant to placate the masses with their OVER-THE-TOPNESS…. But she likes them anyways. Maybe also give her an interest in camping? Because the cryptid-hunting types seem to like to do that. Ooh, oh, and of course she has to like X-files.

Title: another character where i’m really not sure what their title would be

Maid of Light, because she actively created information and attempts to actively BRING THE TRUTH! Her inverse is Bard of Void, because she cannot accept the unknown, she has to KNOW. She passively destroys the obfuscated by creating KNOWLEDGE!

Land: land of cryptids and shadows

Dream planet: prospit

Design fun!: 

Hair: I loved the flippy hair things, but they just looked off in the style. So I gave her some wild chunky layers and kept the cowlick there. 

Shirt and socks: I changed the sleeve lining to the peachy color from her poncho outline. I also changed the sock lines to that color and changed their outline to black to better separate them. 

Skirt: I made it a lighter grey to stand out from the outline better. 

Poncho: I made it white and edited her symbol to be that dark peachy color for better contrast, just to match the usual way in which the human character outfits start out. Their shirts usually begin white and they change them later when they start alchemizing. I also made the eye more noticeable, but still kept it cruddy for you.
