Happy National Opossum Day and Mutation Day to my one and only son Pico UwU

He was in the tree tops when he ate an oozesquito that ended up transforming him into this bigger form. The branch supporting him couldn't hold his weight so it snapped off and he fell, hitting his head on a rock below and giving him a nasty head wound. So he's disoriented, scared, hungry, and injured while he makes his way through the woods. Until he's caught digging through the trash by the dog sanctuary by Todd and passes out shortly after.

funny lil pico thing, he wouldn't get the meaning of mistletoe or rather he'd end up trying to eat it before giving someone the chance to explain it. Also he doesn't do regular kisses either, opossums do a lil lick and rub their faces on stuff (or people) they like and i think that's just cute :3

I forgot I wanted to ask this after dropping my part of the lil comic, and forgot, but I remembered now:

Did Pico know of Luci before encountering her for the first time? Luci knew of Todd from Repo, but didn't know of Pico at all

Given the fact Pico sees him as an uncle, I was wondering if he ever learned bout her from him. Like if he showed pictures of her in his wallet, like a girl dad, or something lol. Or if he was unaware of her existence as well

Not too long ago I was just rereading your Luci interacts post where she stops by Todd's for a pickup, and I liked to think in that moment is the first time Pico ever knew, saw, or heard anything about her. Cuz Pico didnt really meet Repo until after the events of Evil League of Mutants so there wouldn't have been much interaction between em. Twas a surprise and def not a great first impression for either Luci or Pico. Like "oh this random girl comes to our home and instantly starts talking shit about my dad figure, cool instant hate and forever on sight whenever I see her".

Also heeeeeeell yes to girl dad Repo I love that imagery, he takes out his wallet and its just a roll of pictures of his two girls 🥺 (nevermind ms. nubbins trying to eat/attack em, cuteness is happening)

Mmmmm going with the thought that Pico would love the Broadway version of Cats the musical

Him and his sister would both be into Winnie the Pooh and Hilda ( cuz those shows are charming and I love them)

He'd also hate the taste of coffee cuz he finds it bitter and gross and prefers fruit juices and the like (and sometimes tea of course c: )

Another pico fact: he's very blunt about the way he talks, maybe he kinda lacks some social awareness, but he just has no filter and is not afraid to speak his mind without 2nd guessing his thoughts :D maybe except when it comes to Todd cuz he basically raised him, but otherwise he's very upfront about his feelings

many thoughts about reborn pico are swirling in my brain. whether or not they want to be coherent is another story

He is able to talk, his speech is just a bit more slower and pronounced(idk if that's the word I'm looking for) but it comes out much more clearer.

He is kinda like a forest taxi service of sorts xD As long as you give him the required items he likes, you're free to ride on his back

He loves hearing stories and tales and gossip from those he's accompanying

Depending on the season, fruit and fungi will also grow on his back and will be safe for consumption

Just like his I don't know I guess technically ancestor Pico (since Coko said this takes place FAR in the future) he's also able to communicate with the forest life too

He is not the petty revengeful type, but if you do disrespect him or his home or the forest life, your fate will just be left up to the woods and he wont guarantee you'll leave out of there safely..or in tact :D Fate and karma will make its way to ya bub

thinkin about if pico's playing dead façade would work or fool the kraang since opossums can pretend to play dead for nearly 40mins up to a couple of hours, while also giving off a stench to really sell the dead smell part. But I don't know if that would deter the kraang from like let's say just straight up eat him or use the goo like stuff to double check if he's as dead as they believe him to be

but if his act did work, that'd be a pretty freakin terrifying encounter to come out of

Pico's state firstly after getting mutated basically becomes the equivalent of teaching a child in a somewhat grown body how the world works. He wouldn't know how to read/write/do basic math or even speak proper words, just growls and clicking noises. He'd get spooked by machines and robots and most electronic devices becuz he doesn't understand them, but he'd also be transfixed by the moving pictures he sees on tv. He's gonna be distrustful of new faces he encounters and cling to Todd's side the most becuz he's the only one that gives him that sense of comfort (kinda like a baby elephant clinging to their parent's tail). He's also very territorial of his home and area.
