Im not sure how much you've delved into the "shibuya-kei" /"picopop" music (and by extension visual) genre, but i feel like you'd have a lot of fun with it. Bloomed in the 90s, but bled like watercolor into the early 2000s.

I have not, but I'll definitely check it out! I'll look for some songs on my own, but I'm open to suggestions and recommendations if anyone has any.
