i called off of work because I severely needed a mental health day, and I just got to a stopping point in helping my family bake seven different pies.
We have four pumpkin pies (two made with sugar two made with fake sugar), two chocolate pies (that are not quite complete, however they'd be done if we didnt have to play a waiting game with cooling down the pie shella), and one homemade apple pie that I not only made myself, I made the recipe myself.
I adapted it from a base recipe from our old family cookbook, which basically said 'just add apples, sugar, and flour then spice it however' so I added lemon juice, cinnamon and nutmeg til it tasted right, then a dash of vanilla to make the spices taste really good. I sadly did not measure, I just went for it.
