@piercethepiers reared up for a fright:
Silently a creature crept. Skittering about the land on all fours as it sniffed about and terrorized the wooloo on the farm. It was not here for them, however. No, instead, his target was the farmer, and so he sneaked up from behind, finally standing erect with a hunch and thin lanky humanoid frame. It’s monochrome tentacles flowing from behind it’s head in the air as if it were in water. The most notable thing about it were it’s gleaming red eyes. Three of them, and it’s raspy call. “Miloooo”
❦ Milo had very limited experience with any form of supernatural existence. He hardly came close to ghost type Pokémon, save for the occasional Pumpkaboo which wandered in from route 4. So, when his Wooloo began urgently tumbling and bleating and skittering about despite his best attempts to herd them, Milo was thoroughly perplexed as to why. “Easy now! Cairn, take right!” He called out to his helping Yamper, hoping to round the flock back again.
As it were, the Yamper had taking to running WITH the Wooloo instead.
Milo barely had the time to be worried. A voice called his name, sandpapery and unnatural. When he turned, Milo was faced with a towering figure, unspeakable, glowering down at him like it might see through his skin. Met with such an inexplicable adversary, Milo could respond in only one way...
He yelped like one of his Wooloo might, lost his footing, and took a tumble back down the hill. The farmer rolled about halfway down before finally coming to a stop, dizzy enough that he had issues getting back on his feet without bumbling. “What in the heavens is that?!” He keened, voice still high pitched from the scare.
