#kimickaphotoaday Day 14: Valentine’s Day Happy Valentine’s Day!
My dad got me a box of chocolates! 😊 We also made cookies, however something is up with our oven and it wasn’t working (it wasn’t heating up the way it’s supposed to..), so we attempted to use the microwave. It’s a convection microwave or something, and it did work. But as you can see they weren’t as pretty. They still tasted great though. Lol. Anyway. Lol. Happy Valentine’s Day!

why do the pillbury sugar cookies have to be so good.
Alternate quote for Pillsbury Dough Bane: "I will bake you."
Well done.
I was going to post a photo of the delicious Cinnamon Rolls I just baked but unfortunately, I am a fat fuck and ate them before I got the chance to snap the photo. My apologies.
How To Make Vegan Brownies
When birthdays come up, I'm always staying up late at home making brownies instead of doing my homework. Don't get me wrong- I love baking for my friends, especially for their birthdays. But since I have a fair amount of friends who are vegan, I've learn to substitute some ingredients (such as eggs) in order for them to be able to eat these delicious chocolate-ty goodness. Many people don't know that making vegan brownies, (or even any baked goods) is just as easy making normal brownies-and it even tastes the same! I thought I'll share my little secret to those who are curious to how exactly vegan brownies are made. ;)
Since I never have time to make brownies from scratch, I always use the Pillsbury brownie mix, specifically the Chocolate Fudge flavor. Only three ingredients are needed: water, oil, and eggs. The instructions list that you need 2 eggs, but since you're making vegan brownies, there's no need for you go to your fridge! Are you ready to hear the secret: use apple sauce or yogurt.
1 egg = approximately 3/4 cup of apple sauce (cups refer to the already packaged and sealed apple sauce cup that come in packs of 6)
*I use the natural flavor, but you can spice things up and try out the cinnamon or original flavor
or
1 egg = approximately 3/4 cup of yogurt (this time I'm talking about the real measurement cup)
*Stick with a more plain tasting yogurt, like vanilla, so your brownies don't end up tasting slightly different, but if you're feeling adventurous, be my guest and try!
I'm more of the apple sauce person, but yogurt works just the same way. Measure out the equivalent amount of 2 eggs with the substitute ingredient, mix it in with the rest of the ingredients, pour the batter into a pan, put the pan into the oven, and wait for it to bake! Wa-la! It's just that simple!
Now you know the secret in making vegan brownies. You can probably use the same substitute ingredients for other recipes although I've actually never tried it. But I hope this helped you with your question on how to make vegan brownies. Test it out at your house. I will guarantee that it tastes just the same as normal brownies, not to mention that it's healthier too!
