This is the Summer Station ID of ABS-CBN in 2016. The Summer Station ID was themed “PinaSmile”.

The Summer Station ID theme song “PinaSmile” was performed by the OPM couple Julie Anne San Jose and Kean Cipriano featuring the backing vocals of KZ Tandingan. Eventually, KZ Tandingan became part of the backing vocals and the rap part of the 2014 Summer Station ID of TV5 which is “Pinoy Summer, Da Best Forever”. Although, Daft Punk only did the backing vocals of the 2014 Summer Station ID of TV5 which is “Pinoy Summer, Da Best Forever”. But it was revealed that Daft Punk were guest stars of ABS-CBN from 2012 until 2014 until they moved to TV5 during Summer 2014.

The Summer Station ID of ABS-CBN was launched in June 1, 2016 at 5:00am.

The theme song was used to bring happiness and smiles for a great summer fun. However, The Summer Station ID contains Rocco Nacino, Marco Alcaraz, Victor Basa, Neil Ryan Sese and Paolo Contis who are the former TV5 stars from 2010 until 2015 were taking vlogs over the Philippines.

The Summer Station ID features the housemates of Pinoy Big Brother: 737 which started in 2015 during the 65th anniversary special like Slater Young, Akiko Solon, Sofia Andres, Nikki Co, Hideo Muraoka, Kaori Oinuma, Fretzie Bercede, Marco Gallo, Zeryl Lim, Mariel Pamintuan and more. Although, PBB: 737 aired on ABS-CBN in July 4, 2015 during the 65th anniversary of ABS-CBN and after the Election Season of ABS-CBN in 2015 called Halalan 2015 which started in June 12, 2015 and ended in June 30, 2015 during Summer season.

But the former ABS-CBN stars like Aaron Junatas, Alfred Labatos, Carl John Barrameda, Clarence Delgado, Izzy Canillo, Igi Boy Flores, Bugoy Cariño, Dustin Yu, Ella Cruz, Angel Sy, Miles Ocampo, Gabbi Garcia, Alexa Ilacad, Cha-Cha Cañete, Jane de Leon and Kristel Fulgar appear. Due to this, They were the housemates of Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up which aired on ABS-CBN from 2012 until 2013. Luckily, They moved to GMA in 2015. But Gabbi Garcia did gatecrash to TV5 in May 5, 2015 during the next generation of TV5 with the slogan “Happy Ka Dito!”. Unfortunately, In June 30, 2015, Gabbi Garcia was kicked out of TV5 which resulted her to move to GMA for good.

Although, President Rodrigo Duterte can be seen in the 2016 Summer Station ID of ABS-CBN which was his only appearance.

Before the song starts, Rocco Nacino, Marco Alcaraz, Victor Basa, Neil Ryan Sese and Paolo Contis were talking about their happiness and their summer fun including the 2015 Summer Station ID of TV5 which is "Happy Ka Dito This Summer!" the only Summer Station ID of TV5 where none of the TV5 crew members appear and it's the shortest Summer Station ID of TV5 that is less than 2 minutes with the instrumental theme song which was written, produced, composed and arranged by Tomoya Ohtani and performed by the Swedish DJ Avicii in collaboration with Daft Punk, Nile Rodgers and Bootsy Collins.

However, Former ABS-CBN star Dennis Trillo who took a break with TV5 in 2015 did appear when he interrupts the introduction message of Rocco Nacino, Marco Alcaraz, Victor Basa, Neil Ryan Sese and Paolo Contis as he mentions Gary V. who was kicked out of TV5 by Vice Ganda in the TV5 sitcom show Banana Split. Due to this, Gary Valenciano who is “The King of Heavy Metal” has planned to use the theme song “Summer ang Simula” for the 2015 Summer Station ID of TV5 which is “Happy Ka Dito This Summer!” Although, Vice Ganda knew that the theme song “Summer ang Simula” is plagiarized via Star Music. However, Gary V. realized that he wanted to rock n’roll all night on TV5. As he learned the truth, Gary V. knows that the 2015 Summer Station ID of TV5 was planned to be launched in May 27, 2015 with the theme “Summer ang Simula”, But Vice Ganda knew that the 2015 Summer Station ID of TV5 was going to be launching in June 1, 2015 at the beginning of Summer season although he knew that the 2015 SEA Games in the Philippines is launching in May 27, 2015 with the instrumental theme song that was performed by the Swedish DJ Avicii in collaboration with Daft Punk, Nile Rodgers and Bootsy Collins. Due to this, Vice Ganda was furious that the theme “Summer ang Simula” was planned to be the theme song of the 2015 Summer Station ID of TV5. Although, The planned was scrapped out resulting Gary V. to be kicked out of TV5 for good. But he hates that when Jessie Mendiola was forced to return to GMA with Gerald Anderson after breaking up with Rocco Nacino in the finale of Magpahanggang Wakas when the former TV5 stars from 2005 until 2010 like Iza Calzado and Joross Gamboa appear as cameos when Noynoy Aquino orders them to separate Rocco Nacino and Jessie Mendiola before they get forced to return to their respective networks they started years back before they finally moved to TV5 in 2010. But he also hates that when Gerald Anderson was forced to leave TV5 and break up with Kim Chiu who was a former GMA star from 2004 until 2010 and a contestant of StarStruck Season 5 from 2004 until 2005. Although, The sad ending in the finale of A Love to Last is that ex-president Noynoy Aquino forces Gerald Anderson to break up with Kim Chiu before Bilang Pilipino 2015 starts in June 12, 2015 during Summer season.

Before Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson met each other in 2010, Gerald Anderson was a former ABS-CBN star from 2001 until 2010 when he rose fame to Star Magic Batch 7 in 2001 before being chosen as a housemate in Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Edition Season 1 that aired on ABS-CBN from 2002 until 2004.

But guest stars like Gerald Anderson and Jessie Mendiola appear when they left TV5 in 2015 before the next generation of TV5 has started in May 5, 2015 with the new slogan “Happy Ka Dito!” and were forced to move to GMA in 2015 as they were breaking up with their respective loved ones like Rocco Nacino who was permanently in love with Jessie Mendiola and Gerald Anderson who was in love with Kim Chiu but she was in a love affair with Xian Lim as seen in the CloseUp Fire-Freeze Toothpaste commercial back in 2012 and this love affair has made Gerald Anderson angry when Xian Lim did a handshake with Kim Chiu. However, Gerald Anderson thought that Xian Lim was a third wheel so that Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson wanted Xian Lim to be left out until they broke up in 2015. When Kim Chiu met Gerald Anderson for the first time on TV5 in 2010, They did a handshake as she did the epic handshake from the 1984 movie Predator. But in 2016, They might return to TV5 for some new teleseryes for them. Plus, They might be seen in different teleseryes like Pasion de Amor that would include Jessie Mendiola and Bridges of Love that would include Gerald Anderson, Xian Lim, Kim Chiu and Gabbi Garcia. Eventually, Xian Lim and Kim Chiu appeared in the 2015 romantic teleserye Bakit Manipis Ang Ulap with ABS-CBN star Maine Mendoza who signed her contract with TV5 in late 2014. Although, Xian Lim is also a former ABS-CBN star from 2000 until 2005 where he rose fame to Pinoy Big Brother: Season 1 on ABS-CBN which aired from 2000 until 2002. In 2005, Xian Lim transferred to GMA where he was part of the GMA sketch comedy gag show Lokomoko. Luckily, Xian Lim met GMA star Kim Chiu when she was in love with GMA star Paulo Avelino. Due to this, Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino rose fame to StarStruck Season 5 which aired on GMA from 2004 until 2005. Eventually, Xian Lim, Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino moved to TV5 in 2010. Sadly, Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino broke up for good which resulted Kim Chiu to meet a former ABS-CBN star named Gerald Anderson. Luckily, Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson created a new loveteam for TV5 from 2010 until 2015. But Liza Soberano who is Kim Chiu’s best friend and a former GMA Star from 2004 until 2010 appears as a guest star. Due to this, Liza Soberano transferred to TV5 in 2010 making her a permanent TV5 star.

Although, Former ABS-CBN stars like Jericho Rosales, Derrick Monasterio, Mark Herras, Richard Gutierrez, Joross Gamboa, Wendell Ramos, Bea Alonzo, Hero Angeles, John Lloyd Cruz, Sam Milby and Tom Rodriguez can be seen. Although, John Lloyd Cruz, Sam Milby and Tom Rodriguez can be seen in The Encantadia Reboot on ABS-CBN for a short time but were defeated and killed. As an easter egg, Gerald Anderson and Dennis Trillo appeared in the original Encantadia series on ABS-CBN as they portrayed the characters Poseidon and Zeus. But Gerald Anderson and Dennis Trillo appeared for a short time in The Encantadia Reboot on ABS-CBN as they were watching the first battle. However, Erich Gonzales was still alive with TV5 when it was re-branded as “The Kapatid Network” when she signed her permanent contract with ABS-CBN before she gets permanently banned from TV5 in 2011 by Gerald Anderson. Although, Former ABS-CBN stars like Enrique Gil and Mikael Daez who were part of Star Magic Batch 7 in 2001 appeared at this point as they were at different networks like TV5 and GMA. Although, New ABS-CBN star Beauty Gonzalez was seen as she was a former GMA star from 2010 until 2015. But Valerie Concepcion who is a former GMA star from 2010 until 2015 finally moved to ABS-CBN. Although, Valerie Concepcion was a former TV5 star from 2005 until 2010 who is a contestant of Star Circle Quest Season 1 which aired on TV5 from 2005 until 2006. In 2010, Valerie Concepcion left TV5 to sign her contract with GMA. But in 2015, Valerie Concepcion finally moved to ABS-CBN where she became a true Kapamilya star. Although, ABS-CBN star Maine Mendoza was still seen as she signed an extra contract with TV5 in late 2014.

Although, The AlDub couple which is composed of Alden Richards and Gigi de Lana were seen as they transferred from GMA in 2015. But they made guest appearances as they appeared in the 2011 Christmas Station ID of ABS-CBN which is “Magpasaya ng Kapamilya” and the 2014 Christmas Station ID of ABS-CBN which is “Lumiliwanag ang Mundo sa Kwento ng Pasko”. But they also performed the theme song of last year’s Summer Station ID in 2015 which is “Ipanalo Ang Pamilyang Pilipino”.

Luckily, Loisa Andalio, Elle Villanueva, Stephanie Sol and Bela Padilla can be seen as they were part of the Encantadia reboot on ABS-CBN. Plus, They will appear as the main cast of the Encantadia reboot. Although, The Encantadia Reboot was launched on ABS-CBN in 2015 during the 65th anniversary special.

The 2016 Summer Station ID of ABS-CBN also included the former TV5 stars and personalities who left the network before the next generation of TV5 began with the slogan “Happy Ka Dito!” in May 5, 2015 like Arjo Atayde, Ria Atayde, Isko Moreno, Kristel Moreno, Ryza Cenon, Gil Cuerva, Rainier Castillo, David Licauco, DingDong Dantes, Marian Rivera, AJ Dee, Enchong Dee, Albie Casiño, Edgar Allan Guzman, CJ Ramos, Jace Flores, Ejay Falcon, Martin Escudero, Daniel Matsunaga, Randy Santiago, Lance Serrano, Paolo Serrano, Cedrick Juan, Ellen Adarna, Devon Seron, Sam Pinto, Klea Pineda, Yassi Pressman, Faye Lorenzo, Alessandra de Rossi, Arcee Muñoz, Ritz Azul, Alice Dixson, Tuesday Vargas, Eula Caballero, Mr. Fu. Mo Twister, Julius Babao, Christine Bersola-Babao and Grace Lee.

Although, It was revealed that Arjo Atayde, David Licauco, Daniel Matsunaga, Gil Cuerva, Martin Escudero, Isko Moreno, Kristel Moreno, Devon Seron, Ria Atayde and Ryza Cenon moved to ABS-CBN in 2015 while the perfect couple DingDong Dantes and Marian Rivera made their return to ABS-CBN in 2015 after being absent for 10 years since they moved to TV5 in 2005. But Randy Santiago, AJ Dee, Enchong Dee, Lance Serrano, Paolo Serrano, Cedrick Juan, Rainier Castillo, Jason Abalos, JC de Vera, Louise de los Reyes, John Prats, Ejay Falcon, Sam Pinto, Klea Pineda, Faye Lorenzo, Yassi Pressman, Alessandra de Rossi and Grace Lee might have moved to GMA in 2015 including the GMA News and Public Affairs couple Julius Babao and Christine Bersola-Babao who moved to GMA early before the next generation of TV5 was launched in May 5, 2015 with the slogan “Happy Ka Dito!”.

Although, The New TV5 crew members like Jodi Sta. Although, It was revealed that Jason Francisco and Melai Cantiveros were at Star Magic Batch 8 in 2002 along with Eula Caballero. Due to this, They were at ABS-CBN for a short time before being chosen as the new StarStruck contestants of Season 5. Luckily, Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco finally tied the knot in May 28, 2013. But Eula Caballero became a housemate of Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Edition Season 1 which aired on ABS-CBN from 2002 until 2004.

The Summer Station ID also includes special guests like Jason Statham and Tom Cruise. As an easter egg, Jason Statham and Tom Cruise appeared in the 2016 movie Straight Outta Compton from Paramount Pictures. Luckily, Barney the Dinosaur from Disney’s Barney and Friends also appeared, Eventually, It was revealed that Barney has been a guest star of TV5 from 2010 until 2015. Although, Eat… Bulaga! host Janno Gibbs was seen as he was already permanently banned from TV5 in February 28, 2016. Somehow, The main Eat… Bulaga! hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon were already seen as they left ABS-CBN in 2015. Although, It was revealed that they are the original cast members of the ABS-CBN sitcom show Bubble Gang from 1995 until 2015.

Eventually, This is the only Summer Station ID of ABS-CBN where the crew members have selfie sticks for vlogs for a great summer adventure around the world. But this is also the only Summer Station ID to feature some crew members talking like in the 2012 Summer Station ID of TV5 which is "Iba Ka-Summer Ang Kapatid" where the TV5 crew members are seen talking about the best summer ever before they skydive.

Somehow, This was also the second Summer Station ID to feature Filipino vocals as the native language of the Philippines after the 2015 Summer Station ID of ABS-CBN which is "Ipanalo ang Pamilyang Pilipino" which is theme song for Halalan 2015 from June 12, 2015 until June 30, 2015 which was used to celebrate the 65th anniversary special of ABS-CBN. But this is also the only Summer Station ID theme song to be sung by Julie Anne San Jose and Kean Cipriano. However, The Summer Station ID concludes with the text “Masayang Muli Ang Kwento ng Summer” which is a reference to the 2010 Summer Station ID of ABS-CBN which is “Kwento ng Summer Natin” with the theme song that is performed by Catherine Bernardo and Daniel Padilla which was used to celebrate the 60th anniversary special of ABS-CBN for a big summer fun. But this is also the sixth Summer Station ID of ABS-CBN to feature a Filipino song.

The locations where Rocco Nacino, Marco Alcaraz, Victor Basa, Neil Ryan Sese, Paolo Contis, Jessie Mendiola, Jericho Rosales, Joross Gamboa, Wendell Ramos, Richard Gutierrez and Bea Alonzo take vlogs are Boracay, Baguio, Batanes, Siargao, Bohol, Quezon City, Zamboanga City and more. Plus, the places include Ninoy Aquino International Airport, SM Mall of Asia, Rizal Park, Quezon Memorial Circle and more. Plus, These crew members can be seen going extreme and having fun in the sun. Although, some cameramen take videos of each actor lip-syncing to PinaSmile or sometimes various former ABS-CBN stars and even the returning ABS-CBN stars Rocco Nacino, Marco Alcaraz, Victor Basa, Neil Ryan Sese and Paolo Contis were seen going extreme and having fun in the sun. Although, The 2016 Summer Station ID of ABS-CBN runs for 5 minutes and 25 seconds.

As an easter egg, Rocco Nacino, Marco Alcaraz, Victor Basa, Neil Ryan Sese and Paolo Contis were lip-syncing to PinaSmile along with the former ABS-CBN stars Jericho Rosales, Derrick Monasterio, Mark Herras, Richard Gutierrez, Joross Gamboa, Wendell Ramos, Bea Alonzo, Hero Angeles, John Lloyd Cruz, Sam Milby, Tom Rodriguez, Gerald Anderson and Dennis Trillo.

Although, Wendell Ramos and Joross Gamboa were former TV5 stars from 2005 until 2010 after being at ABS-CBN for so long from 1990 until 2005. Eventually, Jericho Rosales was a former GMA star from 2005 until 2010 after his days at ABS-CBN from 1998 until 2005. Luckily, Jericho Rosales moved to TV5 in 2010. Eventually, Bea Alonzo is a former ABS-CBN star who moved to TV5 in 2010. Although, Derrick Monasterio is also a former ABS-CBN star as he moved to TV5 in 2005. The ending line before the crew members cheer is when ABS-CBN star Rocco Nacino yells out “Til All Are One!”. This is a reference when TV5 star Xian Lim says “At last! Til All Are One!” before releasing his grip from a helicopter as he skydives in the 2012 Summer Station ID of TV5 which is “Iba Ka-Summer Ang Kapatid”. Although, The motto “Til All Are One!” originated in the 1986 animated movie The Transformers: The Movie from Orion Pictures. Luckily, The line “Til All Are One!” was used in the 2000 Disney movie Transformers by Marinette Dupain-Cheng during the final battle against Megatron.

As he learned the truth, Gary V. knows that the 2015 Summer Station ID of TV5 was planned to be launched in May 27, 2015 with the theme “Summer ang Simula”, But Vice Ganda knew that the 2015 Summer Station ID of TV5 was going to be launching in June 1, 2015 at the beginning of Summer season although he knew that the 2015 SEA Games in the Philippines is launching in May 27, 2015 with the instrumental theme song that was performed by the Swedish DJ Avicii in collaboration with Daft Punk, Nile Rodgers and Bootsy Collins. Due to this, Vice Ganda was furious that the theme “Summer ang Simula” was planned to be the theme song of the 2015 Summer Station ID of TV5. Although, The planned theme song was scrapped out resulting Gary V. to be kicked out of TV5 for good. But he hates that when Jessie Mendiola was forced to return to GMA with Gerald Anderson after breaking up with Rocco Nacino in the finale of Magpahanggang Wakas when the former TV5 stars from 2005 until 2010 like Iza Calzado and Joross Gamboa who appear as cameos when Noynoy Aquino orders them to separate Rocco Nacino and Jessie Mendiola before they get forced to return to their respective networks they started years back before they finally moved to TV5 in 2010. But he also hates that when Gerald Anderson was forced to leave TV5 and break up with Kim Chiu who was a former GMA star from 2004 until 2010 and a contestant of StarStruck Season 5 from 2004 until 2005. Although, The sad ending in the finale of A Love to Last is that ex-president Noynoy Aquino forces Gerald Anderson to break up with Kim Chiu before Bilang Pilipino 2015 starts in June 12, 2015 during Summer season.

Somehow, This was also the sixth Summer Station ID to feature Filipino vocals as the native language of the Philippines after the 2015 Summer Station ID of ABS-CBN which is "Ipanalo ang Pamilyang Pilipino" which is theme song for Halalan 2015 from June 12, 2015 until June 30, 2015 which was used to celebrate the 65th anniversary special of ABS-CBN. But this is also the only Summer Station ID theme song to be sung by Julie Anne San Jose and Kean Cipriano. Although, It was revealed that it was the second time Julie Anne San Jose has sung in a Summer Station ID theme song 10 years after the 2006 Summer Station ID of ABS-CBN which is “Summer ang Simula”.
